Default cold air intakes

I just recently got a scion xa (like 3 months ago) and i want to put a cold air in it. What is a good, cheap cold air that is good for Xas? And what are some other good things to do to my car? thanks!

my brother has the K&N cold air intake in his xa. It sounds REALLY NICE. And that's without an exhaust.

yeah i looked at K&N intakes, they are alittle pricey, on ebay some are like 30 bucks, are they going to make my car sound bad or does it really matter?

I'd be weary to buy a K&N intake for $30 and if you have an 06 make sure you get the intake for an 06. Besides for an 06 you don't have many options other than the K&N. I bought mine off of their website for like $200. As for sound you don't really notice THAT much of a difference but it does sound good though. And for other mods I recommend some kind of axleback exhaust. I got mine done for $160 custom at a local exhaust shop, and definitely a drop (the car has way too much wheel gap) and some nice rims and tires.

yeah i'm going to try to find some sort of wheels and tires, i'm thinking of getting 17s or something along that line. my boyfriend is really into cars so he's going to be helping me lol, but i want to do some of it on my own to show him that i can fix up my car nicely. As for interior, im thinking of putting in new shifter ***** and maybe painting all of the silver parts blue. I'm also painting my valve cover blue. It should look nice.

well stick with us here on scionlife and we can send you in the right direction.

i myself have a K&N typhoon intake and i love it. pricey yes but they guarantee horsepower. and i used K&N drop ins for my last cars and love them.

good luck!
