My custom made wheels are 19x8.5 so I am getting the tire size 235/35/19. I need help choosing a good tire that will last me a while, but also is a good show tire. I have been researching and I thought the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position would be a good tire to choose.

amazing wear rating and amazing ride. if you can find them i'd go for them.

unfortunitly they're only made in Holland and they're very hard to find in the states

 

how much are they per tire?

 

retail around 300 a pop

 

any other brands that are recommended? how about toyo or nitto?

 

toyo proxes4, great tread design, and great performance.
tread looks like a W pretty cool.

those are good too, they don't last as long, and from what I've heard about the same grip as the proxes4.

Just can't drive them in anything below 32-35 degree weather, and of course no snow. They are "summer only" tires.

Great looking tire, 300 treadwear, and pretty good handling.

 

I haven't really heard very good things about Falken. I think I am going to get the Toyo TR1's. Any tire that I buy with this size is going to last me about 15,000 miles and since my car is, well, "a secret project" until I show everyone on Scion Life, I will not be racing with the tires so any tire (a good brand) will be okay for me. I dont need something crazy.

 

then you'll like the tr1's.. definitely what you're looking for. it's for a project car, not a daily driver, so when you do take it out, you'll enjoy the tr1's.

 

well, the car is a project car ( this is for both me and my twin brother). we both have invested over 15000 dollars worth of parts in the past 3 months each so any type of racing would not be very smart because i would lose a lot of money. the car is a daily driver as well because i dont have anything else to drive, but for performance wise, i think these will be fine. thank you for your input. take care.

well you know my vote ;) T1R.. i always call them the TR1..

 

the thing is is that it is a summer tire and in texas, the weather is below 32 degrees.

Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance
Nitto Invo

I have no clue if the bottom two are all season. Also, XL means extra load. Does that mean I will lose my low profile?

 

oh so you'd like an all-season that can go below 32degrees? Then definitely the Proxes4.

Low profile is anything lower than a 45 aspect ratio, such as 215/45-17
