o k ok im not trying to make this a big ___ debate on whats beter but i hate carbon fiber.... so PLEASE show me some decent hoods other then the kaminari cuz im getting sick of seeing that hood...

You know, you can order a carbon fiber hood and have it painted. There are advantages to having a carbon fiber hood. They are not just for looks.

you have powdercoated stock rims, angel eyes and tinted tails and ur calling CF ricer...

i do believe that is way more ricey than cf hoods...didn't see too many CF hoods in the fast and furious movies...but i did see the other things aforementioned...

I am not a fan of the bare cf look. And the hoods made for the tC are cf over a fiberglass shell, which takes away from the pure CF weight reduction some. But, as mentioned, if you want a certain shape hood and it comes in CF, then have it painted. But I am with squall, the stock one looks the best to me

 

I don't think cf is worth half as much as it goes for. Id rather have carbon fiber imitation. Not the cheap black and grey squared vinyl. The good vinyl is what I like.

 

it all depends on the application... I love CF when it isn't just cosmetic, for instance, if the hood was a CF skin over a CF frame, that would rock (and weigh next to nothing). the kaminari CF roof replacement rocks as well for instance.

If you're going to call carbon fiber rice, then ANY non-oem, non-carbon fiber, is ever more rice. Atleast the carbon fiber serves somewhat of a purpose.
Anyway, only non CF hood I'd go with is the Kami reverse cowl, like Jon's.

lol nada realy, water will collect but its not like a lake lol, and my engine bay doesnt even get wet. except for if i wash it and i spray directly, but i always clean it everytime i wash my car.
this was taken right after i washed the car and dryed the exterior, so basicaly this is what it looks like all the time after i wash the car, just some minor whipping down.

 

Gotcha, I always expected it to sit in there like the freakin pacific ocean.
