Default Is it possible to put Hood Spacers on the tC?

Ever since my turbo installation was done the engine bay seem to get a lot warmer than before.
My question is can I put hood spacers to have the hot air flow out of the car quicker?

Not trying to be ricey or anything. Has anyone done it before?

Get a Kaminari Hood, it has a vent at the top.

can't I use the hood spacer thing for now? Cause buying a hood now is pretty expensive for my taste.

Yes, you can use the hood spacer trick.

Just make sure you get longer bolts as well.

Here was my last tC with it done:

I'll admit, it does look weird since we have a curved hood, unlike a Honda where it is straight edged.

you can use a few washers with bolts from Home depot but that does look like a ricer car. It just looks unfinished.

^ that would not work because the hot air gets trapped at the bottom of the hood and there's no way for it to come out.

i say just use like 2 or 3 washers on the bolt closest to the windshield..then 1 or 2 washers on the bolt farthest from the windshield and tighte them now...you will get a slight raise and it will be gradual..so you dont have a dramatic brake when you shut it hard.

haha and its funny to see Delta talking about Ricer cause that Red and White tC....WOW

There are a lot of cars that have oem functional and non-functional hood scoops. ...infact the newer Celica, 4Runner, Tacoma and the XRunner all have functional hood scoops and no TMIC.
I think the delta hood looks pretty sharp (better than all the other usual ridiculous looking hoods out there) and on the same note if you're runnin hard enough to get hot cracking the back of the hood with longer bolts and washers is an old hot rodder trick and if you got the ***** to back it up has the look of pure business.

What we need is a modist, well designed, slick looking, functional reverse cowel hood like the old L48 stingrays had.
