Default From HOT Lava to Polar White - I bought my 3rd xB this morn

It is final.

This morning I went to the land of trucks and SUVs (Manassas VA) and looked at yet ANOTHER xB. The price was fair, but I told them my budget anyway. They countered and I was satisfied. Now I am the proud owner of:

2005 Polar White xB
45000 miles
Alpine CD Stereo w/DVD player
2 DVD screens in the headrests
an electrical outlet? I think to plug in a video game and play on the DVD screens?
Rims - not sure what kind yet
Rear Spoiler
Some Sweet tinted windows
and there was some big thumpty thump speaker in the back, but I took that out all ready - it was far too pimp for this old lady

It was a 1 owner car also. I get the impression he took pretty good care of this box. The factory stereo was included in case I want to sell off the fancy stuff.

IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE BACK IN A SCION! OMG

I will post photos later. I have a busy weekend ahead of me - not to mention that I realized that I am going to be needing a root canal. I have never had my cheek swell up like this. I am NOT happy

but I have my car - - - AGAIN!

HA - I am pretty happy with this deal (patting myself on the back). ALL the Scions - I mean ALL the Scions in this area are going for around $12k or $13K. and they are all stock (not that the extras are selling points for me). Regardless of mileage, the CHEAPEST xB in this area is 12-13K and they are not all that clean.

My budget was $10K and I have all the time in the world.

They had lowerd the price to $11990. I told them I would write the check for $10K and take care of taxes, tags myself. They countered with a bottom line, including taxes, tags and fees: $11365.13

I'm pretty happy with that.

Now I've gotta get my hubby in an xB!!!

You gotta go with Cool Hand Luke. It should not even be a question.

LOL - nice setup! i love watching movies in my xB! I mount my laptop onto this mount i made for it, then just plug in the laptops "audio out" port to the scion auxillary input and BOOM - me and my passengers have an awesome movie experience. i duno what speakers you have but i have the stockers and i am very very impressed with the sound while watching a movie. i know it's not the best quality sound you can have, duh, but i think it's pretty damn good for such a "cheap" economy car...

here is a pic of my setup:

enjoy your new ride!

I have never been MORE EXCITED to go to the dentist before in my LIFE! I look like I am related to Marlon Brando and I can't stop walking around say "You disrespect ME....."

Actually - I have gone to the DMV website and looked into getting vanity tags that say "DA TOOTH" or "A TOOTH" simply because of the timing of this - I think I am a bit delerious right now - hopefully he will give me some good drugs and I can think of a better vanity plate.

I have determined that I am a dork - if that is a proper term for someone such as myself.

All those who are familiar with Cool Hand Luke will get this - - - I just looked up a vanity plate that I think I will get for my new ride:

A EGG

There are so many great lines from that movie and I quote them all the time. Any time I want to make my Boss chuckle all I gotta mutter is "Why you so good to me boss?"
