Being fairly new here, I heard people hang out at the Starbucks off of 217, and the Sonic in Hillsboro. Does this still happen? I went to both around 11:30pm last Saturday and there was hardly anyone there. Any good places a car guy should check out on nice summer nights on Fridays or Saturdays?

 

The starbucks usually has people I think they alternate between Saturday and Friday, also usually they just meet up and go somewhere else to chill(bowling, pool, etc.). I don't know of any other starbucks but you are going to the one at the Fred Meyer right? I'd suggest just going at like 10 or 10:30.

We all used to hang out at the wells fargo parking lot. To many people were careless, burn outs, trash etc so now the cops regulate that area pretty well and not many peopel go down there anymore.

 

So do people go anywhere else? Is there somewhere people cruise etc.?

 

11:30 is pretty late, try 10 or 10:30 even earlier maybe.

 

I don't know anymore where the guys hang out... I check out the v-dubs occasionally and they have a weekly meet thread on www.vwvortex.com in their regional forum there to see where it is each week... it's sometimes nifty...

Other than that, PIR is the best place to see cars and such, as everyplace else gets taken out by the cops cause of the racer kids... the freddies used to be the place... not much any more...

 

The Sonic is just the 3rd Saturday of every month. And that is usually around 4pm. I think it's kind died because lack of interest, but I'm going to try and get out there on a more consistent basis
