multiple switches
im planning to get a major LED/cathode setup in my car. heres my setups
switch1- 1 4 chip led in all my airvents (6
switch 2 - 1 4 chip led in all cupholders and 1 in the front spaces on rear cupholders0 6
switch 3- under dash kit( 2 maybe cathodes under dash)
switch 4- 4 9.5 flex strips under wheels ( maybe add more in engine bay when my wallet heals some)
all from oznium.com (green ftw)
my questions are should i use a different power source or iis the battery ok
what gauge power wire and what fuse should i use for this
and lastly how should i power the switches?
tap one switch to all the switches?
or seperate power wire to each switch
sorry if this seems like alot of questions but i just want to get it right so i can figure out what exactly im going to buy

why are you using so many switches? why not just one switch for interior lighting?
if you must use all those switches then run a 8 or 10awg wire from the battery into your car, fuse it with a 15 or 20amp fuse then tap that wire for all the switches and all the power lines...

so go 10 gauge and tap the other switches into it?
any udeas on a fuse?
but my final idea is to have at least 10 switches turning something on

Question
im going for a huge sysem for my tc with about
14 4 chip LEDs
4 oem rockers no LED tips
1 cathode kit
4 9.5 flex strips.
would that require 10 or 16 gauge and what fuse should i use?
Answer
14 x 4-chip superflux LEDs @ 80ma each = 1.12 amps
1 x cathode kit @ 700ma each = 0.7 amps
4 x 9.5" flex strips @ 160ma each = 0.64 amps
--------
Total: 2.46 amps
How about using a 5 amp fuse, and either the 10 or 16 gauge fuse holder will work fine.
this is straight from oz
