Default Armrest Installation (JJ Products)

I have to admit that I was a little intimidated when I first glanced at the instructions. When I noticed that the seat cover had to be partially removed and holes cut I freaked out a little. But you know what? It was a breeze and worth it! This armrest is 100% factory appearing and no one would EVER guess that it wasn;t OEM equipment.

Tools needed:
- Socket Wrench with 7/16" and 1/2" Sockets
- 7/16" Wrench
- Wire Cutters
- Needle Nose and Regular Pliers
- Drill with 9/32" Drill Bit
- Utility knife
- Tape Measure
- Scissors

1. After tilting the drivers seat forward and climbing into the back seat this is what you see. Cut off the metal rings that hold the upholestry to the seat and peel the cloth up about halfway (5 images):

2. Measure the foam according to the instructions and make a line to guide your cut (2 images):

3. Now you slip the mounting bracket through the new hole and bolt the top into the seat frame through an existing hole. Then slip on the armrest on to adjust the angle correctly (3 images):

4. Then you simply drill the lower hole, attach the bolt and push the foam and cloth back over the bracket (2 images):

5. Some quick zip-tie action firmly holds the cloth and everything is back to normal with the mounting points protruding from the side of the seat (6 images):

6. Unzip the back of the armrest and you will see the hole to bolt into the bracket. We used an extension on the socket wrench to make things a little easier. Bolt on the armrest and zip the cover back up (3 images):

That is it! Takes about 25 minutes to do but was well worth the effort. In the photos the material looks slightly different, but in real life you could not tell the difference. It appeared to be EXACTLY the same as the seat cloth:

Thanks to JJ Products for supplying the armrest for our demo vehicle. You can purchase the armrest in our store for $120.00:
