I have been puttng a lot of thought into purchasing a xB. I currently have a 02 GT as a daily driver. I absolutly love the car...But unfortunaly so do the gas stations, Insurance companies, and the Friendly Police. So ultimatly it all comes down to what i want to afford. I drove a xB today and it is a nice vehicle with lots of room, but its SLOW. Maybe im just used to the mega torque the stang makes. Awe screw it...ill get one the end of next month, when are in a hurry to sell :P

Price don't change on scion at month end...except for the extras...which yah might want to get elseware...beside you might have ta wait for it.

Yes the xB would be a good jump from a Stang GT. Some ppl one here came from BMW's, Porsche, Audis & so on, so it must be something about the car. As for power, what do you think 108hp is going to do? Its a Econo box.

I agree; granted car salesmen all work in mostly the same way but it's not like going in at the end of the month is going to get you a better deal due to the pure pricing on Scions... the only thing you can really control is the interest rate you get, which changes every few weeks from what I understand?

As for the box not being as quick as the pony, you have to get used to it, but (even though I drive an xA) unless you're really concerned about your 0-60 time or racing everyone you pull up to at a stoplight, I say go with the Scion. Your wallet will thank you!

I went from an '86 SVO Mustang to this xB. At first I thought I'd kill myself having a third of the power I was use to. It took a few months, but I have become acustomed to the power loss. The amount of money I save on gas is quite nice and I am very satisfied with the ability to stuff 3-4 of my friends in the car without decreasing my own comfort as the driver.

I still miss the Mustang, but as each month goes by I grow more and more satisfied with my decision to go with the econobox. :)

well, think of it this way, with all the money you save, you can buy a few mods to make you box a little faster :)

Yes keep looking around. The MSRP is $14,195. So you can get a xB for that cost + the normal things like tax, title, licens etc.. & maybe a dealer doc fee. So a $18k xB better have 0 miles & a crap load of extras.

DO NOT buy that, it has 7,000 miles on it,,lol

spend 14.200 get a new xB and get the rims you want and it would probably still be lower....

if it was jakced with extras then id say not bad, but its a base model on 15's (i think)

What I would do I build the scion you want online at scion.com and then you will see who has the matching box in your area and then take them what you want and they will get it for you...........

Yes, the xB is slow. I come from a GSR civic. I bought the xB:

1) lots of room (especially up front and over the head)

2) love the interior colors and layout

3) great mpg

4) different

5) reliable

6) cheap insurance

7) Affordable

I was tired of speed and having a useless fast car. Just wanted something nice / comfortable that wouldn't break the wallet. xB fit every aspect.

Good luck!

BTW > That used xB is a RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid 16k for mine out the door with 4 miles on the odometer.

15" wheels can be found for about $700 new.

Don't buy someone's problem! You have NO idea hwo that car has been maintained or ran....

Just keep the Rustang :P and get the Box. That's what I did (well, it's a Vette, but that's neither here nor there).

I use the Box for going to work and the grocery store, and the Corvette to play in.

These are the exact reasons im contimplating this. Also i do not want to afford the Mustang, thats why im getting rid of her. Hopefully there will be a xB parked outside here soom.
