View Full Version : TRANSFORMERS!! **possible spoilers**
TheRealBen 07-03-2007, 03:49 AM The movie is the perfect summer blockbuster.
Great form beginning to end, with too many great action scenes and BIG laughs to count. The entire packed audience could not quiet down between all the exhilaration and excitement and the gags.
MUST SEE MOVIE OF THE SUMMER!!
TC_by_TRD 07-03-2007, 03:54 AM hey how did you see it already ??? its still not out till the 4th at least in houston, tx
TheRealBen 07-03-2007, 04:38 AM That's what I thought too, but I went online to buy ticets for tomorrow's midnight show when I saw that all the theaters put it out today.
I hopped out of my seat, jumped into my car, and caught the firstshowing I could.
bBlover 07-03-2007, 04:50 AM I'm sooooo excited to go see it!!! :)

dasaint80 07-03-2007, 05:03 AM Saw the movie tonight. AWSOME!!! Love my friend Mr Screener!!!
az_pinoy 07-03-2007, 06:58 AM just came home from seeing the movie!...MUST SEE!!...and yeah, big laughs and lotta action...fanboys were applauding Optimus Prime's first appearance  ...classic hehe
i didn't find out about the early showing either 'til my brother told me...the earliest showing was at 8 pm and we thought we had to camp out 3 hours ahead of time to get seats...walked in an hour before showing and there was barely anybody there!
agai, MUST SEE movie!
JC
___MmmBoxy___ 07-03-2007, 07:00 AM I'm seeing it tomorrow with a car club that I'm in...it's going to be a movie/car meet!! Awsome!!
~Stephanie
transformerXA 07-03-2007, 01:38 PM great movie it was awesome. they are showing it at an imax here so i think im going to see again there. yeah i bought tix about a wek ago and saw they had a showing for the 2nd.
TheRealBen 07-03-2007, 05:37 PM They have it in iMAX? I might have to check that out.
I like the subtle upgrade sequece they did when Sam was buying the camaro. He was sitting in the car and Bernie Mac's character wanted to show him an old beetle for less money.
___MmmBoxy___ 07-03-2007, 05:41 PM Do you think it's worth seeing twice?? I have 2 groups of friends and they don't get along, so I might have to go twice....cuz I don't like to pick and choose, you know?
By the way...it's nice to finally talk to you for the first time Ben....haha!!!
~Stephanie
Big_Bird 07-03-2007, 10:00 PM OMFG!!! just saw it thos morning, best movie of my LIFE!!! Im going to go see it again tonight with my friends. WOW, just WOW!!
GRNMCHN 07-03-2007, 11:12 PM Its a consensus! It rocked! Will def watch many times!
Big_Bird 07-03-2007, 11:14 PM ^^dude, you wont be disappointed as long as you have eyes. utterly amazing.
transformerXA 07-04-2007, 12:29 AM did anyone see Mr Deeds? that guy from sector 7 was adam sandlers butler. i was hoping he would say "Very Sneaky".
and all the autobots where GM and the one car on the decpticons was a ford. i thought that was funny
TheRealBen 07-04-2007, 02:05 AM I'm upset that Barricade was a Mustang. He was badass and reminded me of the T-1,000, but I love Mustangs too much to see my favorite car be the bad guy.
Oh, and Boxy, yes, this is such a fun movie, yeah, go see it twice.
transformerXA 07-04-2007, 02:16 AM they have xmods of barricade and bumble bee at radio shack. also some kinda of starscream flier. i saw some videos on youtube.
az_pinoy 07-04-2007, 03:57 AM yeah this movie is definately worth seeing twice...i'm thinkin of seeing it again tomorrow...hopefully they have it at the IMAX here

pollup 07-04-2007, 04:00 AM good movie!!!
Big_Bird 07-04-2007, 04:23 AM starsceame didnt die, hmmmmmm, transformers 2 mehbeh?!?!
well there are about 30 different bots they left out, they can make like 10 movies.
SquallLHeart 07-04-2007, 04:30 AM i saw the movie at 1:30pm Monday at Anime Expo... special pre-screening.. :P
great movie!
pollup 07-04-2007, 04:37 AM starsceame didnt die, hmmmmmm, transformers 2 mehbeh?!?!
well there are about 30 different bots they left out, they can make like 10 movies.
well he was calling for the other autobots in the end and if you recall where the decepticon base was, it was underwater. where did they end up? exactly.
qrymson 07-04-2007, 04:59 AM Maybe we should change the title of this topic to add 'possible teasers'. so that way those who haven't seen the movie can still talk about it. you know umm...yeah
TheRealBen 07-04-2007, 08:13 AM Yeah, that would help with the way this thread is starting to go.
All I have to say is that the preview where they show the decepticon coming up from behind the soldiers...it was a scorpion. So the even touched on the whole Beast Wars thing.
TheRealBen 07-04-2007, 08:16 AM they have xmods of barricade and bumble bee at radio shack. also some kinda of starscream flier. i saw some videos on youtube.
The Starscream flier is really cheap, it's just some generic flier with the decepticon logo taped onto the wings.
The xMods are really cool though, especially if you want a cool Mustang or Camaro xMod. Man I love those things. xMods are fun.
GRNMCHN 07-04-2007, 02:26 PM I def see room for a sequel, maybe even a trilogy. This movie was like the first episode of the cartoons. We just me them. And the ending def made me think of foreshadowing the next installment.
pollup 07-04-2007, 02:31 PM Yeah, that would help with the way this thread is starting to go.
All I have to say is that the preview where they show the decepticon coming up from behind the soldiers...it was a scorpion. So the even touched on the whole Beast Wars thing.
that scorpion is scorponok. i knew he use to be a base in the cartoons but they turned him into that for the movie. you hear them call his name once and its all over the video game.
TheRealBen 07-04-2007, 05:27 PM I totally forgot about him, now that you mention the name it does ring a bell.
Oh, how is the game, btw?
Edwy_NBTC06 07-04-2007, 05:57 PM AWESOME MOVIE!!!
Of course they're gonna make a second one, after all the money they're gonna get from making this one.
___MmmBoxy___ 07-04-2007, 06:41 PM Good movie......but do you think it was sponsored by GM???.....hmmmm.....makes you wonder.......
~Stephanie
pollup 07-04-2007, 07:32 PM the game is pretty good. very nicely drawn, least on the ps3
Edwy_NBTC06 07-04-2007, 08:25 PM Transformers is sponsored by GM and I believe Pontiac, you can see plenty of GMC commercials where the Pitch Line is "Transform Your Summer"
___MmmBoxy___ 07-04-2007, 09:07 PM Ya...and did you see ___ the cars in the movie?? All Pontiacs and GMs!!!!!!
~Stephanie
SF2K4 07-04-2007, 09:30 PM Good movie......but do you think it was sponsored by GM???.....hmmmm.....makes you wonder.......
~Stephanie
It's funny you mention that... my friend and I had a big talk about it... we feel kind of sorry for GM because even though the Camaro got quite a rise out of everyone the Saleen 'stang cop car got the most acclaim, at least here.
___MmmBoxy___ 07-04-2007, 09:56 PM Oh ya, for sure!! SOOOOO SEXY!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind humping one.....but the guy that drove it....he'd have to go....

SuperMario6582 07-04-2007, 11:00 PM saw it last night and I would have to say it was one of, if not, the best movie that i have seen!
SuperMario6582 07-04-2007, 11:36 PM forgot to ask this...
did anybody catch the name to the movie that they showed the preview of where they are having a party in new york and dude is taping everything and then there's that explosion with the weird monster noise? i want to see if the trailer is somewhere on the internet.
andysxA 07-05-2007, 12:18 AM ^^^ its untitled as for now, but from what i hear the entire movie is shot with home cameras and is about some kind of alien attack or something. looks sweet.

that's probably why i couldnt remember the name then. yeah it does look pretty cool. thanks.
Big_Bird 07-05-2007, 12:26 AM ^^my friends and i searched for hours trying to figure out that preview. Looks really cool though.
hotweelz4me 07-05-2007, 12:27 AM The movie was awesome! Our scinergy crew actually had a movie night for it. If I go see it again it will have to be on IMAX!!
My only problem is that Prime did not seem to give up much of a fight at the end, he sort of went down easy but whatever the movie rocked
Madzozs 07-05-2007, 01:54 AM Starscream's voice wasn't right.
I've been upset with Transformers since they started screwing that up.
Other than that, damn good movie.
firesquare 07-05-2007, 03:52 AM best movie ever. makes me want to buy a camaro or a GMC top Kick pickup. Awesome everything! will see it again!
enjoiles 07-05-2007, 04:24 AM loved every f'ing minute, especially the megan fox scenes
oh and Dreamworks greenlit for two more sequels with Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, and Peter Cullen and the next sequel is favored to feature the Dinobots, Constructicons, and Soundwave (WOOOO!).
leov36 07-05-2007, 04:44 AM galvatron has to be in the second. im thinking the decepticons will bring megatron out of the water and turn him into galvatron (unicron maybe, now that would be sweet, a big ___ planet transformer) maybe they will kill optimus, and rodimus prime will be in the third, but im thinking not since so many people got ____ed when optimus was killed off in the original movie. ok sorry for the rant, yes the movie was cool
transformerXA 07-05-2007, 01:23 PM im gonna get "to punish and enslave" script under my back window here soon. that it the coolest saying ever

that little robot was soundwave :).. he died didnt he? they messed him up. they also messed up devastator (the truck with the claw) and scorponok.
salteen 07-05-2007, 02:02 PM ^that was Frenzy...Soundwave will be in one of the sequels.
I haven't even seen it yet but definitely will this weekend.
Also, the movie preview that was shown before the movie was for "Cloverfield" it's produced by JJ Abrams (Lost) and is going to be absolutely SICK.

frenzy never turned into a radio. that was their version of soundwave. trust me, they had him in the game and called him that.
jeffyvan 07-05-2007, 03:08 PM Transformers was freakin' awesome. I was lucky enough to snag passes to an advance screening in Pittsburgh so I saw it last week. I went and saw it again on Tuesday and it was just as good, if not better, the second time around!!!!

If they do put Unicron in, which I highly doubt (for the sequel), they are bound to "mess him up" sooner or later.

pollup 07-05-2007, 04:21 PM weird, well add that to the list of jacked up characters. frenzy is suppose to be a cassette tape.
tC4italy 07-05-2007, 04:23 PM great movie this is the first time (excluding concerts, holidays, festivities, etc) where I see americans clap and cheer all at once
TheRealBen 07-05-2007, 04:50 PM weird, well add that to the list of jacked up characters. frenzy is suppose to be a cassette tape.
Yeah and that's a big deal, you know, with the way people still use cassettes.
They want the movie to look up to date, not 1987. If that's the case, all the robots should be the same vehicle they were 20 years ago, making the movie look incredibly unimpressive.
Even the CD player is passe, but if they use an iPod, Frenzy will just be sitting there.
Oh, and that movie trailer, everyone was ____ed off in the theater that they didn't even give us the name.
tC4italy 07-05-2007, 04:53 PM Oh, and that movie trailer, everyone was ____ed off in the theater that they didn't even give us the name.
yup people started booing
TheRealBen 07-05-2007, 04:57 PM I was hoping that trailer was for the classic game Rampage.
The way people were running around on the streets, between tall builings with parts of buildings flying everywehre.
salteen 07-05-2007, 05:01 PM ^now that's an idea that nobody has expressed yet...that would be bada$$!
it's JJ Abram though, the concept of Rampage is way to simple for it to be a Bad Robot film...it's going to be crazy, whatever it may be

kanundrum 07-05-2007, 07:49 PM good movie i liked!
RnB180 07-05-2007, 07:57 PM I saw it tuesday night. The movie was 2 and a half hours and it didnt feel long. solid action scenes from the beginning and each action scene just got flashier and intense.
one of my favorite scenese would be the police cruiser/mustang chase. that was really cool.
I want to see it again. I thought they put a bit too many jokes however and the art direction was totally different from what I was expecting.
i.e. literally every other line was a joke in the film. So many jokes this can be considered a comedy rather than action sci fi.
and from the trailers I was expection a serious sci fi movie, and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was much closer interpretation to the cartoons I grew up with in the 80s rather than what was done with movies like xmen and spiderman.
dude they even got optimus primes voice right. I could tell who was narating in the beginning of the film the moment I heard the voice. brings back childhood memories.
TheRealBen 07-05-2007, 08:06 PM I still think they should have somehow gotten Leonard Nimoy into the movie.
pollup 07-05-2007, 09:54 PM weird, well add that to the list of jacked up characters. frenzy is suppose to be a cassette tape.

Oh, and that movie trailer, everyone was ____ed off in the theater that they didn't even give us the name.
i know the sarcasm was there, but you clearly werent thinking through what you said. correct we dont use cassettes. but why turn frenzy into what soundwave was. modify it, dont steal another characters basis.. and on top of that the normal sized devastator and scorponok. not cool. im not hating on the movie, it had great entertainment value. i just dont like how they portrayed those guys. i already knew bumblebee was gonna be kinda messed up. he was never a hard core fighter. but VW didnt want associations to the movie so thats life. now the next movie is suppose to have the constructicons? how are they gonna do what they were known for, form devastator when devastator was already in the 1st movie as a normal person.
Edwy_NBTC06 07-05-2007, 10:13 PM I liked the Cruiser/Mustang chase as well, I wished they would've made it a lil more longer though, people in the theatre started clapping when both of those cars came out of the smoke. It just seemed to me to be a bit too short.
I didnt really get the trailer for that movie....most of the people were just like....errr ok w/e.
If they made Bumblebee into a Beetle that would've sucked!!
tCTaco 07-05-2007, 10:25 PM Im plannin on seeing it Tonight....as long as the wife feels better...Shes sick and Im dying to see this movie!
pollup 07-05-2007, 10:25 PM nah that was his thing. he was one of the most well known transformers. i dunno, its a hard choice. i liked the new camaro though. one of few years that i actually like.
SquallLHeart 07-05-2007, 11:23 PM dude they even got optimus primes voice right. I could tell who was narating in the beginning of the film the moment I heard the voice. brings back childhood memories.
yup.. they got Peter Cullen back to do his voice again... very, VERY cool
Need4Bass05 07-06-2007, 06:27 AM Seen the movie tonight with some friends. What a movie. One of the best I have seen in a long time! Rarely can movies that long keep your attention for so long but this one sure did. I almost wish you could get the cartoons on DVD or something now. Def owning this when it comes out!
RnB180 07-06-2007, 08:10 AM I liked the Cruiser/Mustang chase as well, I wished they would've made it a lil more longer though, people in the theatre started clapping when both of those cars came out of the smoke. It just seemed to me to be a bit too short.

yea, as soon as the robot jumped in the air, transformed into the crusiser in mid air in half a second and went speeding after the camaro, people in the theater had their jaws wide open, that particular portion of the scene was executed really well. I was hoping theyd do a stand off and take off in a drag race or something :D, but than the police chase aint bad either.
yea it was a bit short, too bad one of the coolest scenes in the 2+ hour film was less than 2 minutes long :P
RnB180 07-06-2007, 08:11 AM dude they even got optimus primes voice right. I could tell who was narating in the beginning of the film the moment I heard the voice. brings back childhood memories.
yup.. they got Peter Cullen back to do his voice again... very, VERY cool
oi, so it was the original voice actor? Throughout the movie, I was thinking, "wow, they really nailed optimus primes voice dead on".
SquallLHeart 07-06-2007, 08:31 AM the original voice actor himself! YUP!
you didn't see the cast and end credits? :P
he's done alot of voice acting that some people probably didn't know either...
did ya know? he's the voice of Eeyore! (from Winnie the Pooh) LOL

on a side note
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/transformers_the_movie/
..... grr...
looks like those critics rather hate michael bay and over critique and pick apart this film.
funny considering the professional critics bashing transformers seemed to have missed the intent and target audience.
everyone I know that has seen the movie, loved it. and the actual user reviews on the site seem to be the exact opposite of the elite critics bashing the film.
I really think anyone that actually believes the poor reviews on rotten tomatoes by the so called "professional critics" is doing themselves a disservice.
as much as the professional critics bash michael bay as a director, the average movie goer has to admit he has a knack of combining humor with action rolled into a film i.e. bad boys 1 & 2, pirates of the carribean trilogy and now transformers. all of those were fantastic action movies.
aireck 07-06-2007, 09:09 AM sickest movie ever!!
....just wonder what soundwave will be in the next one.....
Andrew1782 07-06-2007, 09:25 AM Fun movie! Loved it. You know that trailer, the one with no name at the end. Transformer sequal. During the scenes of that trailer there are many similarities as in the movie. The "asteroids" flying down, the rumbling earthquakes etc. Plus the fact that at the end of Transofrmers it was primed for a sequal. EX> Optimus Primes speach at the end and if you sat through the credits you saw StarScream leave the earths atmsophere(for help maybe for part 2???) just a thought?
TheRealBen 07-06-2007, 02:20 PM nah that was his thing. he was one of the most well known transformers. i dunno, its a hard choice. i liked the new camaro though. one of few years that i actually like.
Personal opinion I guess, I've gotten to sit in the new Camaro a few times and it's ugly and uncomfortable. I love the classic Camaro in the movie though.
Still, much better than the beetle.
As far as how Bumblebee performed, he's always been a guy that was more talk than action, so him getting messed up isn't a far stretch.
salteen 07-06-2007, 03:22 PM Saw it last night and loved it
My wife didn't even think it was that bad. We loved how it had a comedy feel with all the one liners, it definitely enforced the fact that it used to be a cartoon.
My favorite scene: when Sam's parents bust in and talk to him about his "happy time" and then the chick pops up...clasic
leov36 07-06-2007, 03:25 PM i still think it would have been better if bumblebee was a beatle, and if starscream was red white and blue, and if megatron actually looked like frickin megatron.... but i guess they needed this movie to appeal to a wider audience than just transformer fans...
GRNMCHN 07-06-2007, 03:35 PM I still love the scene where Optimus pops out his sword and kills that decepticon, dont remember which one. But Optimus was bad arse in that scene. And when Bumblebee "peed" on the sector 7 guy....lol
Edwy_NBTC06 07-06-2007, 04:35 PM My favorite scene IMO....Spoilers Below:
Was when the FBI raided the house, and they started chasing that Huge black dude (dont know his name) and he smashed through the sliding glass door and got tackled into the pool, yelling COPS COPS COPS!!..laughed so freakin hard
tCTaco 07-06-2007, 04:41 PM I saw the movie last night...FRINGGIN AWSOME! I loved it! Being a Transformer fan and playing with the toys back in the 80's (The Real Diecast Toys, Not that crap they sell today) I could nit pick at this film all day long for all, but I told myself that this was a new film and went with it. Yes Bumble Bee wasnt a Beetle like he should have been and I think its crap that GM had there hand in the film....But I can understand for budgeting. Devastator was a Single robot...What happened to the Constructicons that would join together to form Devastator....But thats me, so rather than b!tch about the changes made..I just accepted it for what it is...a kickarse summer blockbuster.
One of my favorite things was the air freshner hanging on Bumble Bee's mirror of a Bumble Bee with the word "BEE-OTCH" on it
So many holes left it WIDE open for several Sequels..I cant wait for!
PikesPeak 07-06-2007, 04:47 PM I can't get that damn transformer sound out of my head. But, I'd like to hear it every time I hit the LOCK button on my key fob. :silly:
Need4Bass05 07-06-2007, 04:48 PM And when Bumblebee "peed" on the sector 7 guy....lol
"Bumblebee stop lubricating the human" LMAO best line
that and when Megatron just flicked that one guy and went flyin into a car. lol
tjbartjr 07-06-2007, 04:56 PM It definitely kicked ___, I'll gladly put down another $10 to see it in the theater again. I wasn't a huge Transformers fan growing up (I was all about the Go-Bots), but when I saw the first teaser posters up in theaters, I knew this would be a kick ___ movie, and damn was it ever. And holy ____, Megan Fox is so amazingly hot in that, I wish I could transform into a thong of hers....
:D
By the way, did anyone who saw it get a kick that the classic taglines of "More than meets the eye" and "Robots in disguised" were used? I honestly think I was the only person in the theater that laughed out loud when I heard that, it was priceless. And even though the product placement for GM was a "tad" excessive, I think overall the movie works as a modern interpretation of a classic toy line. Definitely the best movie I've seen in a long time.

TougeIST 07-06-2007, 06:31 PM ....
Here ya go Big_Bird:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1592225/
Definatly one of my favorites movies. I saw the second showing on the 4th and it was PACKED one hour before, and it was one of the biggest theaters in the complex. What was awesome was that parents who took their kids would get into conversations with other parents reminiscing about the cartoon/toys and how they couldn't wait to watch.
Anyone notice the homage to Bad Boys when Frenzy was fighting the 3 in the Sector 7 radio room?
I also loved the how they made all the transformers more human-like on how they acted and interacted with the actors, like in the scene in Sam's backyard. Especially when his parents looked outside and Optimus was leaning against the house, Bumblebee and Jazz were huddled in the porch and Ironhide was on the side of the house.
I will definatly be seeing it again this weekend.
salteen 07-06-2007, 06:42 PM I also liked the way they rolled around like monkeys when fighting...not robotlike, but awesome nonetheless.
The Australian girl's hacker friend and his cousin was freakin hilarious, especially when his cousin was running from the S7 guys, that made my belly hurt from laughing so hard.
The thread hasn't gone to crap because they're asking about the chicks that were in the movie, it's still on topic.
Big_Bird 07-06-2007, 06:45 PM
C, i only asked her name
tC4italy 07-06-2007, 06:46 PM not u but the thread was fine up until page 5
anyway im gonna go watch it with my twin again
Big_Bird 07-06-2007, 06:46 PM I was really impressed how they stayed so true to the cartoon. I was hoping it would be half the movie it actually was.
I didnt catch that at first, they brought back the dude who did Optimus Prime's voice. So cool.
tCTaco 07-06-2007, 06:48 PM Im going to have to go see this movie again...maybe on my lunch break sometime next week.....We had to sit in the very front three rows last night and looked up at the screen so some of the fight scenes were really blurry and I could hardly make out WTH was going on.
TougeIST 07-06-2007, 06:48 PM "Don't step on the carpet! My grandmother doesn't like anyone on her carpet! Especially police!"
Big_Bird 07-06-2007, 06:51 PM "Oh sh*t it's the police!"
"I didnt do nothin, i didnt do nuthin" *crashes through window*
RnB180 07-06-2007, 07:08 PM Yea that guys in a whole bunch of action movies playing the comic relief,
and wooo, they had ddr in the movie. I love that game and used to play it all the time. I was surprised to see dance dance revolution in the movie.
hoefully Ill get to watch the movie again next week. I cant wait or this film to arrive on hd dvd or blu ray. Gotta watch it in HD, its a pure eye candy spectacle.
equinox2355 07-06-2007, 07:10 PM I saw it on the 4th with scinergy, scion 101 and scion corp (free movie) and it was timed perfectly so that we were out just in time for the 4th of July fireworks!
Fun night, fun people, explosions in the theater and outside of the theater... who could ask for anything more?
SquallLHeart 07-06-2007, 07:16 PM hey big bird,
Rachael Taylor was the hacker. :P
D_M_A_N 07-06-2007, 07:33 PM I read some comments posted about Bumble Bee.
I actually liked that they changed his car type. I mean really, how tough does a VW beetle look. I like that they changed him to the camaro (which is oh how sweet looking)
I wish Megatron was a little different. He was a jet in themovie. He still should have been some kind of gun, but self operational. I dont like how in the cartoon another decepticon had to pick him up and shoot him, I mean he's the leader of the decepticons, he shouldnt need somones help to function as a gun. I think thats why they made him into a jet.
Star scream was pretty good IMO. A sequal would not be as good IMO. Star scream as the leader would suck.
The fight scenes were pretty awsome.
I liked optimus prime. He looked pretty close to the original.
Two thumbs way up!
SquallLHeart 07-06-2007, 07:44 PM well.. VW was really the issue why Bumblebee couldn't be a Beetle.. they didn't give the producer rights to use the car..
so a nice change was made.. :P
as far as Megatron, they needed something more realistic.. thus a puny little gun transforming into a massive sized robot was out of the question..
(thus a slight other reason why Bumblebee was changed.. that VW Beetle would've had to transform into a relatively small robot compared to the others...)
it was explained that he kept his Cybertron alien jet form, which is what he turned into.
and as seen.. Starscream is still a pansy... very good keeping his persona from the original series.
only thing is.. Devastator... a tank? wait a sec... Devastator was the name of robot that was formed when all the Constructions were put together.. Bonecrusher being one of them..
TougeIST 07-06-2007, 07:47 PM I think they made Megatron more into a outer space jet like the forms the transformers would be straight from Cybertron. And in the fight with Optimus, he does transform into a huge gun, where his upper torso is the gun, I think Optimus jumped out of the way or something.
tCTaco 07-06-2007, 07:51 PM Yup...Starscream will return and so will Megatron as Galvatron....If they keep it true to the series....Only time will tell
XxTamTxX 07-06-2007, 08:07 PM So much marketing behind it, it was really smartly done.
tCTaco 07-06-2007, 08:12 PM There really was.....I havent been this excited about a movie Since....Ninja Turtles...Released in 90

TougeIST 07-06-2007, 08:51 PM Oh yeah, that was sad too, but they made up for it when he schooled the S7 dudes shrinking the all-spark

Stargate_Toaster 07-07-2007, 08:05 AM I saw the movie on the 4th and I thought it was the best movie I've ever seen. I can't wait to see it again. Loved it. I love Bumblebee. New Camaro = sexy
TheRealBen 07-07-2007, 09:34 AM And even though the product placement for GM was a "tad" excessive, I think overall the movie works as a modern interpretation of a classic toy line. Definitely the best movie I've seen in a long time.
Somehow I don't think anyone outside of car people would even connect the fact that GM runs Pontiac, Chevy, and GMC, so product placement, not so much. Just cool cars in the eyes of about 95% of movie fans.
And no way are they going to make Bumblebee a Beetle, that would be extremely corny and would not work in 2007 at all, especially with the way Beetle is synonymous with "chick car" now...esp. with the built in flower pots.
pollup 07-07-2007, 01:00 PM the beetle was never a manly car. bumblebee was never a warrior either, he was a wimp , and he was smaller then the rest of the guys. he was the run, hence the beetle.

TheRealBen 07-08-2007, 07:19 PM mediabynumbers.com is projecting $152.5 million by the end of Sunday night for the domestic income of Transformers.
It has destroyed all of its competition in theaters right now. Let's see if it can remain somewhat strong next week with the release of Harry Potter.

the critics are idiots. They dont like Michael bay so they hate the movie, Just read the negative reviews of the film on rotten tomatoes. They seem to bash bay rather than the film.
considering the people that actually like it are the people actually paying money to see it, some several times over. I think the critics have a stick up their bum. before I went to see it, I read the reviews after I picked up the tickets. I was bummed at the rotten ratings, so I wanted to see how bad it was. Instead, it turned out to be one of the best sci fi action flicks ever made. It wont take long for word of mouth to surpass bad press, and people realize its a good action movie. Everyone I know liked the film. I have yet to meet anyone that has seen it state any dissapointments. it pretty much delivered.
they're all over harry potter though, like sweat off rosannes back.
TheRealBen 07-09-2007, 03:02 PM IMDB, viewer rating aside...most forum jerks there hate the film. When I last checked it was rated an 8.4 and in the top 250, but the forum seemed to hate it...then again, IMDB is filled with wannabe movie critics that hate everything that critics hate.

forreal! Outcasts (yes, I'm calling them outcasts because half of them are) today have nothing to do than sit on their ___ criticizing something just for the hell of it. Criticizing the movie just because Michael Bay directed it is dumb. They need to grow up. It makes me annoyed, yet very sad for their "life." :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser: lol. [/rant]

Edwy_NBTC06 07-09-2007, 10:30 PM Yeah, I dont know why critics "hate" Bay soo much, here are some numbers I just read from some of his top movies:
#1 "Armageddon" ($201.6 million)
#2 "Pearl Harbor" ($198.5 million)
#3 "Transformers" ($152.5 million)
#4 "Bad Boys II" ($138.5 million)
#5 "The Rock" ($134 million)
All of those movies were actually pretty good, and you can only assume that Transformers will surpass Armageddon. I was reading a critic in one of my hometown newspapers and one of the things she said was, near the end it was "too loud" which made me laugh....I guess critics dont like to see big explosions, and lots of action, but the general public does.
TheRealBen 07-09-2007, 10:50 PM Pearl Harbor was garbage. Bad Boys II was watchable, but nowhere near as good as the first. Armageddon and The rock are both very hard to watch a second time. The Island was laughable and just bad.
Most people tend to agree that he's not generally a good director. He makes blockbusters, but almost all of the time they end up doing very well the first couple weeks before word gets out and then they tank.
RnB180 07-10-2007, 12:42 AM dont forget bad boys one and the pirates of the carribean trilogy.
TheRealBen 07-10-2007, 02:24 AM Michael Bay didn't direct the Pirates trilogy. Some Gore dude did.

it uses the first and last letter of the name you enter
Every other letter beginning with "A" is an autobot
Every other letter beginning with "B" is decepticon
Then the first and last letter in the name you enter determines the name you get.
Like big birds first and last letters are "m" and "n"
