Has anyone ran some yet? I know there are a ton of skeptics, but if I do any power adders it will probably be N2O. I know there's some guys running 75 shots on their tC's, so I'd definitely like to see what the xB2 will do with that!

yea whats the theory behind a true-throttle conversion on the gen2?

That's gonna be a monster! What size jet are you gonna run? I would say a 75 shot is safe. I'm sure a 100 shot is good, but 75 for a daily driver. I know there are quite a few people with tons of miles that have been running a 50 shot on an xB1 with no problems whatsoever.

I ran a 75 shot on my tC and sometimes ran a 100 shot. Car can handle a 100 shot. The problem I see with the xBs is going to be the traction control.................... :lalala:

If anyone has any questions running the nitrous on the xB let me know. I have 2 years experience on the tC and I already looked into doing it on the xB, decided not to.

You can't use the full throttle switch that comes with the kit. What you need is this:

well let me hear how you did it fair and what traction control we can turn it all the way off along with the vsc so yeah lol what kinda switch did you use or did you go to your tps wire or did you use a micro swithc

coryjames
12-06-2007, 11:45 PM
so what will that switch do how do you wire it in?

mnscionxb
12-07-2007, 03:44 AM
you can just use a push button on your shifter if you cant get the micro switch hooked up just make sure your at full throttle when you push it . i have both on my monza nos.

i just figured it out nx has a tps sensor so yeah then i will run a window switch and a low fuel pressure switch should be pretty safe i wont spray it till im on a dyno to get it dialed in perfect air fuel ratio so yeah we will see

Push button is the worst thing that you can do when running nitrous. Ask anyone. Don't do a push switch!

That switch will turn the nitrous on and off at WOT. The switch that comes with the nitrous system will not work on our cars. Also, you can't fully turn off the traction control so you need to run a window switch. The traction control will make the car run lean because the nitrous will keep spraying while your not moving................then boom.

how can i not fully turn off the traction control i do it all the time dont know what your tlaking about i did about a 30 second burnout and it didnt kick it so you can turn it and the vsc off in the new xb and the switch i found is one for the fly by wire so it sensed the throttle at wide oped im also going to run a window switch but hey o8 what did you use for the full throttle switch?????

midgethearsexb

To turn off the traction control, so that it doesn't kick in once you hit 30 MPH, you simply come to a complete stop and hold the button down for about 3-5 seconds. It will also turn the VSC off, but you don't have to worry about it kicking in if you chirp in 2nd gear.

If the traction control kicks in at all while you are spraying you are going to be in trouble. I know how to turn it off but dose it stay off in 3rd gear and maybe 4th...........NO! If your spraying you spin in 3rd gear and sometimes in 4th. When I sprayed a 100 shot on the tC I was spinning in 2nd, 3rd and sometimes 4th if I got on it.

Just trying to help people out before they start spraying......................

like i said you can turn it off you hold down the button while at a dead stop it turns it off and it stays off like i said i did a 30 second smokey smokey burn out my then shifted into second right now im in co its got about 3 inches of snow on the cround i just went through 5 gears and didnt move anywhere on the ice and the traction didnt kick it

Yes it does stay off in 3rd and 4th! Do a little research. If you hold the VSC button down while you are at a complete stop until you see the VSC light come on, it will turn the traction control off indefinitely until you recycle the ignition. So if you make it a point to turn it off before using, you'll be fine. In fact, here in SLC, before I turn onto a street before leaving a parking lot I turn it off. I also turn it off before I need to take off quickly at a light.

One more time, if you hold it down, while at a complete stop, it will turn the traction control OFF until you recycle the ignition. That means that you can take the car up to 120, shifting through 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and even reverse if you feel like it, without the traction control kicking in. The car will still beep at you and tell you that you are slipping, but it will NOT engage the traction control system. Claro como lodo?

if you want you can run a rpm switch this automatically turns your nitrous on and off under full throttle

or a mini 2 stare progressive controller

coryjames
12-09-2007, 06:41 PM
yeah thats a window switch but it just runs of what rpm your at so it kicks on a 3000 and shuts down at 6 but you still need a switch to when you have reached full throttle and a presure switch wont work as the drive by wire takes a few to get to full throttle

The funny thing is that in the August issue of Car and Driver they said that there was no way to turn off the traction control fully. They say it turns back on as soon as the car dose something crazy..................................

I have always pushed that button when I was at a light and I noticed that the traction control turned off for 2 gears and went back on. Then the other night I held it down and it turned off for the whole ride home.......................

I fell like I unlocked the car fully.......lol.............

Thanks guys..........................

I feel stupid for ready the article and not fully pushing the button down till both lights turn off.

Sorry.....................................

finally found out how to wire in the window switch but i wont be needing it i think im going turbo so anyone want a window switch never used 70 shipped its a sweet unit i would go 3000 6000 first gear lock out and it has a built in tps sensor so its a pretty easy install will make your juice pretty sweet
