Hey guys I will be getting a pw xB soon, and I am looking to get some volk gt-u and I know the offset should be between 35-42, but I was wondering if 225/40 would work, and not rub. So just wondering if anybody is running on 225/40 since everybody seems to run on 225/35 I need to have a little bit more rubber, these texas roads are brutal :?

+35 on the offset and you'll have the least rubbing problems, but at wheel lock (left or right) they'll still rub. +42 I promise will be ALOT of problems with that big of a tire.

 Hell no that wont work. Unless you gut your fender wells. That tire is 25.1" tall, the stocker is like 23.7". A 225/35R18 would be a better tire, might still get some rubbing going on. Also go with a +35.

If your Xb isn't lowered is 1.5 inches of difference really going to be that terrible? Seems to me the only potential problem would be rubbing when turning?

When I looked at a stock xB, the tire seemed close to parts of the fender well. Im not sure if a 1.5 would make a big diff or not, but I would not chance it, seeing even the jdm stock 185/65R15 is only 24.5" tall.
