Default TRD Short Shifter

Does anyone have the TRD Short Shifter? I ordered it and will be having it installed soon, just wanted to know if there was any feedback on it.

I think I've heard good things about it...but for the price, there are better deals out there. Doc I's gearswitcher for one.

IMO - of course.

i like it a lot, if you're paying for installation...don't, do it your self. it takes 15 minutes to install

I have the TRD short shifter in my first gen....it is first rate. If the 2nd gen item is engineered as well it should be a good choice.

syphon mag said it was clunky feeling and that the stock shifter was better.
i had the short shifter in my first gen and it rocked so i think i would get one if the price is reasonable. please post your opinion when you get it installed .
i'm sure it will rock!!

Last time I checked, and heard from my district manager, it was on stop-sale due to re-engineering the part. Didn't get an ETA though.

Hmmm...How long ago did you order the kit? I even had my parts guy look up the part number on it and there were none available in the U.S. I would make sure it is for the 2nd gen then.

Part No. for 1st gen (fits xA/xB) PTR04-52041-50
Part No. for 2nd gen PTR03-52083

I got my car on the 10th of July. I ordered it on the 30th of June I think. I know my TRD exhaust will be here and I'm pretty sure the short shifter will be here too. I'm going to call my buddy that sold it to me tomorrow. He's the manager down at the Scon Dealership that I bought it from.

I just talked to my boy today and he said that my exhaust is here and the short shifter should be here in a couple of days. I sure hope it didn't have to be redesigned!

What's the appeal of the short shifter? Seems to me the stock shift pattern is only about 3" anyway. How big is the short shifter pattern?

midgethearsexb told me that they had to re-engineer it.

I'm not sure. Kinda sucks the aftermarket hasn't done a damn thing for these rigs.
