Any suggestions??? chucksu 10-03-2004, 05:31 PM Cant help you on what ones to pick, can let you know what ones are out there & the price I have found them at. HKS Hipermax = $1,179.99 Jic Magic FLT-A2 = $1,242 Jic Magic SF1 = $990 Tanabe Sustec Type 1 = $850 Tanabe Sustec Type 2 = $750 Tein Basic Damper $799.99 Tein Super Street Damper = $1,100 I guess it also goes on what are you looking for in a Coil over system? A nice ride, better handling, a great range of ride hight options? elzy0000 10-03-2004, 09:42 PM thanks chuck... i guess mostly looking for a good product that is relatively easy to adjust... then maybe the over all height options projxB 10-03-2004, 10:20 PM i have the cusco zero wagons.. and i really like the fact that i can dump it really low but it doesnt ride to nice at the height i have it. ive been thinkin of sellin them and getting the HKS'.. ive heard a lot of good things about them. elzy0000 10-03-2004, 10:24 PM cool thanks for the info... right now i think im leaning towards teins... but if you get rid of yours let me know Minsk99 10-04-2004, 01:22 AM I have the HKS Hipermax C and really like them. If you are concerned with ride height flexibility these are a good option. I have over a 3" drop on them now and it rides great. One thing I like about them is that the ride height adjustment is separate from the spring perch. This means that the spring rate is not affected by your height adjustment (at least in the front). The JIC A2's also have the height adjustment separate and they have dampening adjustment that the HKS does not have. However, the A2 does not go as low as the HKS. The spring rate of the JIC is stiffer then the Hypermax. This does not necessarily mean that they handle better (I don't know if they do), but the HKS are forgiving on the bumps. squirrel 10-04-2004, 06:08 AM I have the TEINs, and though I'm only at a 2.5 drop. I've been told by a few peeps, who have Cusco and HKS, that my ride is a bit more softer and comfortable than theirs. Now, if you want lower, I would suggest HKS or Cusco. I haven't seen the JiC or Tanabe stuff yet. doctorcue 10-04-2004, 06:19 AM I have the TEINs, and though I'm only at a 2.5 drop. I've riden in xB ey's car with the HKS and it was nice. We only went about 2 blocks total, but from what my butt remembers, nice and smooth. And he is DUMPED!!! |
