Default FM RADIO IPOD ADAPTER

Alright,

So i've tried a belkin, and a cheap one from target so far in the xb, and they dont seem to work well in box, though they work fine in other cars... i'm guessing because of the antenna placement, but who knows...

So, onto my question: Can anybody recomend an ipod fm radio transmitter that they know from experience works fine in the xb?

If so, let me know please...road trip(s) to vegas coming up soon and I want to make sure the ipod works fine in the xb (I've got an 04, so no adapter).

Thanks in advance, and i DID do a search, but found nada. :-)

Look for a 05-06 stock radio, or upgrade. DIY an AUX cable...

From my experience, all those FM transmitters are junk. This is not because they are low quality, but because the FCC won't let manufacturers make anything with a stronger transmitter. The best permanent solution would be to get an upgraded Scion HU, but if your looking for a temporary fix...

Go buy one of those FM transmitters that plug into the headphone jack, then buy one of these extention cords.

Now you need to get the transmitter as close to the antenna as possible, on the xB I think its the rear(ish?) window. Place the transmitter somewhere close and plug it into the extension cord and then plug your ipod into the other end. This will let you keep your ipod up front and the transmitter in the rear. It won't be perfect but might get you better sound and its something cheap to hold you over until you can get a better HU.

Anybody have any experience with one that works well in the xb, without the extension chord set up, etc? The transmit tor needs to be adjusted (The station) from time to time to get the best signal, and having it by the back window would defeat the purpose. :-P (thank you for the reply though, I appreciate it just the same)

Look dude, the Aux cable works well, thats why theres an AUX cable, because the FM transmitters suck. Your looking for the best of something that already sucks. Its hard to recommend something we know is crap.

I have that problem too, I want to hook-up the Ipod with the Ipod2connector, But I just know i'm gonna be upgrading to Video and I'd rather not waste money.

But if it does the job till then, And theres always the Classified section, Then 40-150 might....... be worth it.

the mini transmitters are weak. probably so i don't have to listen to your brittany spears crap on my system when i pass you ( that was a joke). the belken cord is very pliable and plugs into my JVC. yer gettin 100% this way. bust loose with the cash bro, and you'll be smilin long after they shut your water off (or whatever).
