Has anyone ordered the rear spoiler and been told that they are on back order? I just found out yesterday that its not going to be until mid-August until I can get mine installed. Any ideas on what I can do to be heard??

yea.. there's a big stir-up out there with regards to backordered '08 accessories.. (not just the spoiler)..

they are indeed backordered... so it's not just you with the problem.

corporate knows about it and they're fixing the issue as we speak... you don't need to say much anymore... it's all a big wait now to see how fast they can get production up and them sent out asap.... :?

I bought my BSP xB about 3 weeks ago and ordered the spoiler. At the time they said it would be about a week, then a week later they told me until August and that they were only installing them at port, so I told the dealer I was gonna call Scion and see what was up. I called Scion and the guy I talked to didn't know anything about it and hooked me up with a "Specialist" who would call me. Next thing I know, the next day I get a call from my dealer saying that they got the spoiler in. The "Specialist" guy who called me from Scion was cool.

My main problem with it was that I already bought the car, and that if somebody ordered one tomorrow with a spoiler, they might get the car and the spoiler before I get mine. I know it's a minor, somewhat selfish thing, but c'mon.

Dang, I had to wait 2 weeks and I thought that was a long time. Longo said they ordered mine from San Francisco to get it quicker, do they even make parts in San Francisco?

Ebay has the factory ones for like $300 shipped. Just get that and have the dealer install it.

I ordered it on 7/1 when I bought my car and had to wait until the 13th for it to come in. I ordered it from Longo Toyota. I paid the $400 or whatever it costs cuz I don't trust myself drilling into a new car :nails:

The ebay ones comes from a Toyota dealer, so it should be OEM. I bought one before for my Sister in laws coralla from that place and the paint matched perfect and it was the same spoiler you get from the dealer.

The lot I got my car from didn't have any with the spoiler so I paid for the spoiler in the financing and they ordered it to install it when the spoiler came in. I'm actually waiting right now for them to install it...so it took almost a week for it to get in, not too bad.

If your willing to do it yourself, the one on ebay you can make them an offer (start at $200) with shipping and taxes you would pay $250.00 total. I ordered mine last Thursday and got it today

I got mine installed today,... it looks great but I almost wish I would have gotten a black spoiler so it would stand out on the classica silver body color.

That's what I'm wondering if I should go black on my white xB. I'm gonna have black wheels and I have 5% tint on there now. I just don't want it to look like it's not finished.

I think a black spoiler on a white xB2 would look cool, especially if your going with a black/white theme

I had actually wondered about that when I bought mine.

I think a BSP spoiler on on a White car with the front grill area painted BSP might look good.

Well here are some close ups of the spoiler. It actually rests on the window so there is a pic of that also.
