Default just a question for everyone about the warranty.

lets say i race my car till she wont race or run no more at all. will the dealership replace the motor or do whatever they normally do if the car is under the warranty for free? just a question i always wondered.

i would never have the heart to work vanessa till she is almost dead.

Normally some part is going to break or wear out. To drive it until it just won't go anymore without it being related to a specific part failure would probably put you over the mileage side of the warranty

thank you to the first person to write me back. but what i mean is to one night just run the motor as hard as she could go till she wont even start. and not go over the millage limit for the warrant.

LOL , sometimes people ask these roundabout questions. Just had to make sure. Although, I must say it is a little frightening how you talk about your car as if it were living. But, none the less I understand where you're coming from.

lol its not frightening, I do the same thing with mine :D ... only I'm single but I like the single life ;) Anyway, as long as your not hitting the rev limiter or doing something stupid that the ECU will be recording you should be clear on warranty...however...if they can prove that the damage caused was do to something you did over a short period of time then no they will not warranty it. They have a good idea of what will do what to an engine and it dieing from stress that happened for an extended period time, but within a short segment would be something they would look closely at. But yes, the ECU will record when the rev limiter gets hit, so that option is out LOL.

I only say it does b/c it would make sense when Toyo would be determining if abuse was cause for failure...they are very hush hush on that. I talked to a mechanic guy at another dealership here about it and he said they weren't allowed to say, but that he has a lexus and mercedes and they did...so I would assume that most cars do record that kinda of stuff. I would assume the data for the recording is not very big size wise so It could keep it forever really, who knows unless someone leaks that info out. Again its just an assumption but I wouldn't do it too much and then try to get warranty work done.
