Yanki01 07-20-2007, 03:40 AM you didnt search liar! ADRdesignCo 07-20-2007, 04:40 AM you didnt search liar! i agree. there are at least three threads just filled with projector stuff.. and they are still going Noodle 07-20-2007, 04:47 AM Just know this in general for all aftermarket headlights - majority of scion owners are not satisfy with their look and quality. shadow12one 07-20-2007, 05:02 AM Yup, the quality sucks. They not only look cheap, they are cheap. LED's burn out fast, cut-off sucks. If you want good quality projector headlights go with a retro. If you arent comfortable doing one yourself, there are plenty of guys on here that im sure wouldnt mind doing them for you for parts + labor. mowmow 07-20-2007, 06:46 AM Get a retrofit done if you want real HID projector, I just got mine done recently and I'm so happy with mine. You get what you paid for. SicktC06 07-20-2007, 12:22 PM ...You get what you paid for. neworldOZ 07-20-2007, 12:51 PM ya i wouldnt buy aftermarket, i have aftermarket in my car but im just settleing with them untill i get the time to retro, th elight output is ok it does miss a few spots, the LEDS suck they burn out, so i have mine covered up with a eye brow, ummm ya its beter to just retro them =/ what i keep telling people when they see my aftermarket headlights shadow12one 07-20-2007, 12:58 PM Yup. They look 1000 times better than cheap aftermarket crap. Not to mention if your creative you can make em look how ever you want. ScionNut07 07-20-2007, 01:04 PM where do you buy the stuff for retro PlayinWithFire 07-20-2007, 01:09 PM check out http://www.customlightz.com They have been working on my quad retro fit and do great work. Just expect to pay close to 800 dollars for parts and labor because you will need: Projectors Bulbs Ballasts Shrouds Possibly new housings Their labor on the tC retrofits is $275 without the price of parts. Yanki01 07-20-2007, 06:48 PM where do you buy the stuff for retrobest place HIDPlanet.com in the forums. Some and i say some get lucky to find parts on ebay. shadow12one 07-20-2007, 08:27 PM Ya when it comes to retro stuff you can learn everything on HIDPlanet as well as buy everything you need. ScionNut07 07-20-2007, 08:56 PM yeah but im not looking to spend $800 on this raWr215 07-20-2007, 09:36 PM www.hidplanet.com <--- my hid kit (i tossed aside the e46 projectors www.ebay.com <--- tsx projectors mowmow 07-20-2007, 10:01 PM yeah but im not looking to spend $800 on this You can get your own projectors and do a retrofit yourself, it's alot cheaper here is FX projector on ebay very cheap http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFINITI-FX35-FX-35-PROJECTOR-D2S-XENON-HID-PROJECTORS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ36476QQihZ001QQitemZ110151020107QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW shadow12one 07-20-2007, 10:12 PM yeah but im not looking to spend $800 on this Then there is no need to post this thread, you already know your answer. There are no good aftermarket headlights for the tC. Just remember that you get what you pay for. Yanki01 07-20-2007, 11:17 PM yeah but im not looking to spend $800 on this well have fun with the ebay projectors. you gotta pay to play. Noodle 07-21-2007, 01:08 AM Hmm... seriously. If you can't afford retro, stay stock. get some bulbs from sylvania or piia and call it a mod. Trust me, you're better off w/o those aftermarket projector headlights. Some of them don't look bad, but there's just too many problems, namely bad output and fogging issue |
