16 years old and want to build my TC... On about a $4,000 budget plus a little more that I'll get from upcoming paychecks... Really just want to know what I can get for that much and where do I start??

 

What do you wanna do, there are endless combos with that amount of money. You can do exterior, interior, engine, sound, what do you want and we can help you out.

 

well...if i had that, and well, i have spent that. i would get suspension, front and rear sway bars, trd shocks, and either tein h-techs, or trd lowering springs, or hotchkis springs, depending on your desired drop. then i would get a stoptech stage 2 brake upgrade. front and rear pads, rotors, ss brake lines, and dot 4 brake fluid. then a trd limited slip differential, upgraded clutch and flywheel. if there is anything left over after all that, get a spipe and full exhaust.

these upgrades will literally transform your car into a a much sportier ride that will help you can enjoy almost everytime you get behind the wheel.

those are all the upgrades i would do right off the bat with 4 grand. i have done suspension and brake, and should have the drivetrain upgrades next month, as well as exhaust. your priorities may be different but that so far i enjoy each of those upgrades i have made.

 

for 4gs, i would get some coilover... probably some tien basics, rims and tires, full exhaust, and depending on how much ive got left, front and rear strut and sways. What do you want out of your car? Performance? Sound system? Looks? Boost? Supercharger? Once you've figured that out, peeps can give better suggestions towards what your looking for

 

also depends on your goals..

 

LED gauge swap. sound system(at least a HU anda sub). Springs. HIDs. Lunch

I would definately do these things with 4k
1. Hotchkis TVS stage 1 system (springs and sways)
2. TRD or koni yellow adjustable shocks
3. Short throw
4. Lightened flywheel and better clutch (while you are in there might as well for future mods)
5. Tinted window's (very cheap mod but can make the car look sooooo much better)
6. Full exhaust or s-pipe back
7. Maybe a cold air, or put the rest towards a turbokit and/or standalone

I wish my broke college a$$ had money to spend like that, alas grad school will eventually pay for my 350z.

IMO I would just turbo or S/C it right away then spend the rest. My Ideal setup with 4K would be:
TRD S/C
9 PSI pulley
Tsudo Header
Some kind of s pipe
Tanabe Medallion Exhaust
TRD Springs
Hotchkis Swaybars

Save any extra for rims.

Well i didnt buy a tC to go fast. So i would go with

20% tint all around (except windshield)

TRD shocks, springs, sways

Wheels and tires ( i love the HP Evo's)

New head unit with navi

Subs and amp

New grill

HID lights

Lip kit of some kind

tint third brake light and tail lights

VRD fog lights

All of this is probably more then 4grand ( more like 6g's ) but thats what i would put my money towards.
