View Full Version : Carbon Fiber Trunk... tC
I hope somebody comes out with a CF trunk for the TC w/ everything shaved off expect the place where you put your Lic Plate.
Im definitely interested in buying a set of hood and trunk.
sandbox 10-05-2004, 10:46 PM Hello CDX8! This link should help...

I'm currently in the process of waiting to purchase both items (i.e. Hood/Trunk). bBist <Steve> is a great resource to have when it comes to Scion tC parts.

chucksu 10-05-2004, 10:47 PM  That would be nice, but cost a good deal. It would be a whole rear hatch that they make. IMO, if a company had a CF roof part to replace the roof with, & only charged like $200 for it & you gave them your old roof, I just might look into a tC then.
awesome, thanks... so do you know if they are going to leave it the way it is or have it all shaved. I prefer the whole thing shaved.
Im definitely interested in buying both hood and trunk at the same time. Thanks for the info.
sandbox 10-06-2004, 12:57 AM No Problem CDX8! From what I know, the CF Trunk comes in two pieces: Trunk and Handle. Additionally, both will be shaved. Per bBist (Steve), if you choose to have the logos added, you will need double-sided tape. Moreover, there won't be an indentation for the main Scion logo. Once my tC is completed, I will post a few pictures of it. Both pieces should be installed (i.e. Hood/Trunk) by the end of next week. I hope that helps you out CDX8!

JasonH 10-07-2004, 02:13 PM Wow  That looks great. I would love to get one, but how hard is it to remove the glass form the old one and put it in the new one? Actually, I wonder how much it would cost to just get an extra rear window and assorted other parts so I could leave the stock hatch intact.
you repainted it yellow too...
nice
yellow/cf weave contrast is pretty damn sexy imho.
sandbox 10-07-2004, 09:49 PM No Problem Steve! It's going to be worth it in the long run. I will give you a call on Tuesday, October 12th to check on the status. After all, the Chevy Malibu I rented serves as a nice beater in the mean time, literally... If anyone wants to take a road trip, let me know, I'll be there.
chucksu 10-07-2004, 10:46 PM I asked this question in another post that showed this. How much weight savings over stock does that one give? Sorry for asking it again, but Im not sure what the other post was that I asked it in
wow, that is awesome, I thought the trunk is the only thing thats going to be CF but i guess that is the whole trunk.... (the whole frame  ) Looks great, cant wait to see what the finish product looks like.
