Yesterday my shipment of springs came in. So my brother and I installed them. But they didn't turn out so well. Here's why. I marked the area that is a nuisance.

What's happening here is the top part of the suspension is still sticking out, and it's also off to the side rubbing against the hole. Whenever I would go over the slightest bump it would go up, then come back down, smacking itself on the metal. Is anyway I can fix it?

Sorry if there was inadequate information. I'm not that car savvy. From what my brother told me was that I need a repeating wrench and an alan wrench to complete this task.[/img]

I can't see the pics, but I will take a look when I get home. And if no answers have been given, I will try to give my best then.

the bump stop should get rid of that extra play in the shock.

We did remove the bump stop. Does that cause any problems?

it's not the bump stop, something is not right. Are you using the stock shocks? It looks like you are missing spacers or bushings or something there.

We're going to try to redo the rear ones today. I'll post later in the day to tell you guys if it's finished or not. I forgot to mention that we used force to push in the suspension so that it would match up with the other holes.

the force we used shoudln't matter, it's not the bump stop? wouldn't the bump stop push the cap upwards?

ei don't know.

i'm going to go ahead and take it apart and see if i can figure it out today.

the only thing that is missing is hte bumpstop..., when i got my springs installed, the bumpstop was there and that was a major problem. ended up chopping the bumpstop next to nothing to fit.

thats why i figured, take it out, increase traveling time. no more knocking

the bumpstop just keeps the shock from bottoming out and damaging the shock or car.
