I just got some and they handle pretty well, but I don't drive my car very hard. They certainly corner a lot better than stock though.

BAH, im not a huge fan of Kumho tires, the only reason why i would buy them is because I'm short on cash.

I want to get these. Has anyone compared them to any other tires besides stock on a tc? Titerack.com rates them better than Yokohama AVS ES100 in almost all their testing. It looks like it's the best Ultra High Performance Summer tire in it's price range. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...lay.jsp?ttid=4

i bought these to replace some falken azenis which lasted alitle over a year, so far i'm impressed, not as noisy as i thought , they are fairly cheap (in price, reason i got them) little noisier on the freeway but with the radio on, cant even tell, they look all right, look kinda squareish, liked the look of the falkens better kinda rounded if you know what i'm saying

I have them on my WRX and so far so good. I replaced Bridgestone RE070 (STI OEM tires) with SPT and I find them as good as RE070 in terms of handling. Ride is 100x better and much quieter. Overall, you will like them.

Cool, glad to hear. Don't really mind the noise much, just wanted most grip in the $80 to $95 /tire price range. Looks like I found them. Thanks to all to who replied.

I was thinking of getting these off of TireRack. For those of you who bought off of TireRack, how did you get the tires mounted on your wheels? I thought most tire shops wouldn't mount them if you didn't buy the tire from them.

i searched online because buying local is expensive, cheapest sites Tirerack(cheapest) and Discount tire, so i take tirerack's prince which is even cheaper initially because then they charge you for shipping, then i went to my local discount tire shop and since they match online prices they gave me Tireracks price and included mounting, balancing, chromed valves and caps to match the rims i paid alittle over $500 including taxes...

oh i got 19's by the way

It seems everyone is happy with the SPTs, the only bad reviews I have read about them is the life span. Can anyone comment?

I've heard the same thing but i think the posts are made from people who are being hard on their tires.

Hey all...I'm debating between the Kumho SPT or the Kumho MX.

The MX deffinatley look better, but tire rack only rates them less then .5 better then the SPT in grip and cornering. the SPT rate better in comfort, noise and treadware.

Any thoughts?

You gonna be driving in the rain? I heard the MXs suck in the rain, worse than the azenis. I've driven the SPTs in the rain and they're pretty good. I'm not sure how much better the dry traction of the MXs are, and if it justifies the shorter life and wet traction...

I'm gonna be ordering the SPTs in the next couple days
