Default how much did you pay for your tC?

how much did you end up paying the dealer for your car?

did they lower the price for you at all?
how'd you get them to lower the price?

i'm trying to see how much people payed on average so i can get a general idea if the dealer is charging me too high.

=) thanks.
hopefully this isn't anywhere else because i searched like 30 pgs out of the 70+.

Sticker price all the way. Its pure priceing for a reason. You get it at what it cost on www.scion.com + dealer doc fee + tax, title, licens etc..

I actually just tried to do a search for it knwoing what the thread was called and what section it was in. Didn't see it on the first few pages of results. I only found it before by going through my old posts. I agree that it is difficult to search for stuff. I wasn't trying to be rude by posting that link above, I was just trying to help you find what you were looking for.

it's ALL good. I didn't take you as being rude. I thought I was.. but thanks for the help. =)

by the way.. is it better to build the car online or at the dealership?
I heard from a friend that I would be able to possibly get a lowered price on the car if I was building it at the dealership.

Any suggestions?

I went to six different dealers before ordering my car. Each one used scion.com to build the car and the price was exactly the same as when I did it from home. When I finally got around to ordering it, they built the car on scion.com, printed it out, and had me sign it. If you can get a lower price somehow, good luck. Pure pricing still remains as far as I know.

hmm ok..
let's say the scion that i built online was $17,979
that's including the doc fee, and delivery. proc, handl.

how much do you think i'd end up paying for it? i guess in the end?
because that doesn't include the tax and stuff.

Going on $17,979 + 7% = $19,237.53

Now if you installed all the options you want your self, you would roll off the lot with a $16,465 + 7% = $17,617.55 for a 5spd. A auto would be $17,265 + 7% = $18,473.55

In that case then im not sure. The handling fee is in the MSRP already. Now I would think by some rights thing, you do not need to pay tax on the dealer doc fees, if you do that is some wacko **** going on. So then you would have $17410 (with mats) + 7% = $18,628.70 then add in the dealer doc fee & other things along that line.

I don't think that's possible. Unless you have something like 0% sales tax.

I estimated my tC, with no options, to be around $17,960 out the door. That's with 7% sales tax and not having to pay the dealer processing/handling fee.
