I will try to link the original thread here:

Head over to http://www.nwscionevents.com to register for one of the three Scion Exposed events!

We have 6 pages on the original post. With all the questions etc, is there any way to get this stickied?

If you meet me at the event you will find that I type just like I talk. I don't really put a lot of thought into it. I just type it as I think it/ stream of consciousness type of deal. So that wasn't me being a smart arse. It was me thinking.

For the Portland cruise it's pretty clear that there will be 'appetizers' on-board, but for the Seattle cruise, on a 'dinner boat' it says "food" so the question is will it be fried mozzarella sticks or something more substantial? (Many folks will travel for hours to get there and the loading time is right about lunch time. People need to know if they should plan to eat lunch before boarding or if it will be served on-board.)
________________

For Portland, the parking is obvious and easy, in a lot right near the dock (this includes handicapped parking right near the ramp, per the cruise operator).

In Seattle the parking is more complex. On street if possible, or remotely located open lots - in the waterfront area... Per the tour operator, they know of no assured close-by parking and no handicapped parking. Not only are some folks leery of parking modded Scions on the street or even in unsecured lots in that area, but those with mobility limitations (there are a few) have no assurances they can get close to the dock. Some guidance and hints on where to park and what arrangements need to be made would be helpful.

That's all can think of at the moment that hasn't been mentioned already. :)

Just small items to assure that things go smoothly on cruise day.

i am with tomas on this one there is not really any good parking spots in seattle near the water and plus i dont trust anyone around my car when i am not close to it, people in seattle dont give a F, they will door jack you or even proble scratch cars and you never know might even break into the rides to get inside. i just wish this one was a car show or a thing we can all get togather and show off our rides and chat. i am still unsure if i want to sign up.

I was thinking about going on the Couer d'Alene trip just because it's going to be some new scenery plus it'd be fun to drive over there with a few people; anyone interested?

Tomas
09-14-2007, 07:26 PM
I considered that Curtis, but a 700 mile drive for a boat ride is a bit much for me. I'll be going to the Portland "Exposed" but will likely cancel out of the Seattle one and not sign up for the CD'A one.

Hopefully some of the Oregon/Western Washington folks will head to CD'A for the event.

If you are currently enrolled for Portland or Seattle, you are welcome to enroll for CdA. There is plenty of availability! We need more representation on the east side.

The event will feature DJ K-SLY for entertainment, complimentary appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. The bar will be open and alcohol will be available for individual purchase.

Please log onto www.nwscionevents.com.

I would love to go but my job blows and could never swing it. :(

Have you looked on the Attendees List?
Yes, and my name is on there. Do we just show up and show ID for proof that we're on the list? Or do we get something to print for confirmation? I'm registered with a guest, what do I do about my guest? Do you need their name? The Seattle cruise is next week, this info would be extremely helpful!

robbiej

Well, not sure yet. Daughter has a soccer game at 9am, so I plan on going to it and leaving at half time, which would be around 9:40. That would put me in Seattle at around noon, may be pushing it to find parking and such, so, still trying to work out a plan of attack, lol.

Does anyone know if this boat will rock a lot? I "can" get a little motion sickness, but I am thinkin' that this boat is big enough that I won't notice...

I think it would have to be pretty rough on the Sound to rock the boat, and its suppose to be a decent day, partly sunny, low 60's. I know that it can get rough out there. On the Portland cruise, on our return to the dock, we cruised by it and went a little farther into downtown, then turned back towards the dock and if you weren't watching the scenery, you didn't even notice the turn.
I can't wait, got my batteries for my camera charged, going to be a great time.

Jenna
10-12-2007, 05:17 AM
Sean, I feel for you. I've seen people with sea sickness and wow, they look miserable.

I looked at the weather report too and it's supposed to be a beautiful day. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I went up on my dad's boat up in Alaska and went God knows how many miles from the main land to Dutch Harbor. It was rocking so hard the whole time (3-4 days) that after we hit dry land, it took me a week to stop my internal swaying. I think I would of died if I had motion sickness.

Adorian
10-12-2007, 01:05 PM
mmmm this topic brings back memories of having to do dead drops while diving in rough waters, freaking AWESOME!

Man I miss diving :( poo.

And Chris age is just a number and don't tell Erik but I do agree with you my date is WAY cuter, which I thought was pretty hard to do...

BurxBox

Sean I am bringing some motion sickness meds for you that I had from the last time I flew if you need. See you all soon. I will be leaving in a half hour or so.

Jenna
10-13-2007, 01:28 PM
There is a good possibility that I'll have a spare ticket tomorrow. My boss' son is sick. I'll know sometime around 10:45. Late notice but I thought I'd put it out there.

Furthermore, if he can't get his mother to watch said sick boy, he and his wife will also not be attending. I don't know how it'd work getting those tickets available as they're in his name.

Call if interested - 425-931-5092
