Default Replacing the 1.5 vvti in an 05 xb

So last night i was driving my 05 xb and my engine blew. It's toast. So I'm ordering another motor to put into this one and I was wondering if anyone had ever done a DIY on this before, or if anyone had a basic walkthrough or ANYTHING that could be help while I try and put this new motor in next weekend. Any help, advice, or just plain tips would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks to everyone who helps. you guys have help me in the past and i know that any step in the right direction is better than nothing.

good luck, why did it blow? how many miles did you have on it?

are you getting a long block? it shouldn't be too hard to do.

My advice is to label everything, hoses, wiring, etc so you know where things get hooked back up when you install the new engine.

define:blew

what exactly happened to the motor that is making it non-repairable? it sucks either way but you may have some options instead of investing in a new motor.

x2, the worst part of doing an engine install is finishing with extra parts. A good idea is to place bolts and smaller items in zip lock bags and label where and what they go to.

i really didn't like the simpsons movie. I thought it sucked and was nowhere near as good as the series. Just my opinion. I paid for the movie tickets. yeah.
