i want to get the jdm clear side markers but i want to know if it's difficult to remove the stock ones. do they just pop out?

I dont have a xB so this is just a guess. Just poping in & out does not seem that safe. Yeah, what he said. Grab the rear edge push towards front of car while pulling outward gently. Don't let go of the plug when you disconnect it, it can be tricky to fish it out of the fender... Has anyone removed the rear side markers. I'd like to replace them with the clear front style and maybe wire into the rear turn signals. Covered in overlays of course...as is the rest of my lights!
