Default Questions about aftermarket headers

Guy's i know that you've done thousands of posts about headers but i did a search and couldn't find the answers to my questions. (This is what i've heard) DC Sport headers come two different ways half and full racing, the half's dont make that much of a difference, the full racing are not going to be street legal, they eliminate the catalytic converter which means huge tickets if you're caught, there's a way to bypass cel but its difficult, will not be able to smog car. Can anyone tell me if this is true? Or make any recommendations... also will i need or be able to install a racing S - pipe?
Appreciate it guys
James

I don't know anything about two different DC headers. Any header available for the tC is going to eliminate the cat and therefor be illegal. Any header will give small gains in power and large gains in noise. Bypassing a CEL isn't that hard (antifouler trick).

An s-pipe isn't necessary, but is usually the next step. 4-2-1 headers include the s-pipe replacement. And no, DC does not make a 4-2-1 header for the tC.

when it comes time for smog you can always put your stock header back on which has the cat
