I just purchased a 2008 TC and it came with the $389 upgrade audio system that comes with the T1809 Pioneer head unit.

The lcd screen displays graphics that are preloaded and you can even download your own pictures into the head unit.

Now for my question, The display is monochorme with basically a gray colored lcd screen.

Does anyone know if this head unit's display is suppose to be in color ?

I would think in a 2008 car they would of used a color lcd display but I can't find anything that talks about this in the Scion Audio owners manual.

 

Unfortunately the lcd is not color (I have the same unit in my 200. I thought that it should be in this day and age also, but alas it is not. I checked Crutchfield for other Pioneer units with similar displays, and they only carry one with a color display that retails for $549.
