Default Cold Air Intake question

Hey guys just wondering if a CAI will mess with my warranty in any way? Thanks in advance!! :D

NOPE. There is this little law, (been talked about before) that reads something like "Any aftermarket part put on the car must be proven to have caused the problem, before they can tell you it wont be fixed under warranty.

The only thing I could see it voiding the warranty on is the MAF. Afterall you do have to take it apart and put the sensor in the new CAI. Plus dealerships are usually **** about oil impregnated filters fouling out the sensor (this can happen if over-oiled).

So, as unethical as it sounds, if you are worried about voiding any sort of warranty, just throw in the stock airbox when the car goes in for any type of service.

yeah i think throwing the stock box in will be the way to go. thanks guys. i really wanna get the intake, but i somewhat find it a little pricey. ohh well... ill save up for it.

What intake are you looking into getting?

Kind of. The basics yes, the power no. Along with where the power comes in at, also the cost to power ratio & so on.. The style if your looking for more show then go etc... Thats like saying Goodyear is like bridgestone, yes they make tires but thats about all they have in common

def i know there is a power difference, but give or take you know. and i dont care about the style anyways... no one looks under my hood
