Is there some way to lower a new xB for weekends show/event/pics and then be able to raise it up to be a daily driver during the week for clearance without doing a complete airbag setup?

I don't think there is any model specific setup for that as of yet. ExcelRevs 08-11-2007, 09:40 AM bags or air cylinders..i STRONGLY RECOMMEND to not do any kind of adjustable suspension to a daily driver. your asking for trouble...just ask me about my truck... BloodHoundFan 08-11-2007, 12:42 PM I agree also. Was just offering the option. However, if I was to go that option I would suggest a VERY high quality adjustable coil-over full kit. (replacement strut/springs, etc..) medullaman 08-11-2007, 04:57 PM I agree also. Was just offering the option. BloodHoundFan 08-11-2007, 10:04 PM It may be, however, with the airbag setup you do have the problem of the space the tank, etc.. takes up in/on the vehicle... along with the noise (if that bothers you). Don't get me wrong... I feel the airbag setup is probably the best way to go if you want to adjust it fairly often. I would love to go with an airbag setup, however, with the Michigan winter I have to drive my vehicle in right now I am afraid of the wear it would put on my bags, etc.. (not to mention I need the rear space free for the baby stuff. CarAudioUpgrade 08-11-2007, 11:47 PM I have heard of to many people having to many problems with airbags. I like the way the xB looks lower but I need the clearance to pull into my driveway. If airbags are ok, what kinda of cost could I be looking at with install? What brands are good? CarAudioUpgrade 08-11-2007, 11:56 PM Is Tanabe Racing Development a high quality company for coilover kits? ExcelRevs 08-13-2007, 09:25 AM KP Components or Air Ride Tech make HIGH QUALITY products. i would say about 3 grand installed for a QUALITY air bag install...installation is key. a bad install could give you headaches forever...if you have any more questions about bags let me know. |
