does anyone no if the pioneer avic s2 has a double din tv that it mounts in , there are some gold strips on the back that looks like it could slide in a deck and work throught the deck ! the avic s2 is portable gps! can anyone help me figure this out!

no it has a holder that it can mount in but it is not like the alpine unit that mounts in the w205.

 

ok i have the holder but it is just a plastic holder! im wondering what these gold strips are for ! i won this at a raffle at elmhurst . yesterday! so i kinda have no idea about the product but it got me home from the show right outta the box i was pretty shocked how good of a unit this is! are you sure cuz these gold strips look pretty suspect ! for something! there just flat and flush with the back , it plugs in on the side. im confused.

 

i'm 100% positive nothing is out there right now it can slip into. maybe in the future but right now there is nothing for it to go into

 

well hopefully pioneer comes out with something it just seems strange that these gold strips are on the back ! gotta be for something ill try to dig a bit more! maybe a accesorie i dont no about

 

just called pioneer and they said its a service port! well that answers it all .
