Default Laptop to monitor car....

Other then the scangauge II, is there some software I can use to connect my ODBII (right?) to USB on a laptop to monitor say, A/F Ratio, RPM, mileage...etc. I have a small laptop I would like to put in my car to use to monitor this all real time. The laptop is plenty beefy enough to run any application. I know there are gauges I can buy and things, I just would like to try and use this laptop. Consider it like a little project of mine.
Thanks!

Actually, this has nothing to do with Fast and the Furious whatsoever. I am doing this as a project to try and emulate a windows based monitoring software package in *nix. Nice try on pinning me as a ricer though. Maybe better luck next time.
