I don't know about the dynos though. I know I didn't exactly answer your question but when you start shopping around if you are looking to save some money the Megans are a good buy. They don't have the ceramic coat like DC but they come polished which I think looks good. kwicslvr 10-11-2004, 09:29 PM The Megan and DC are about the same and Megan is like twice as cheap. When shopping around you most definately want a header that has been coated. Whether ceramic, nickel or titanium. Just make sure it's coated. Otherwise it will eventually start rusting and look like crap. Kong 10-11-2004, 11:55 PM Import tuner has a dyno test on the xB with the DC header. It gains like ~0.5 HP. Minsk99 10-12-2004, 02:38 AM Yup. Import Tuner did dyno the DC header in the June 04 issue. Hard to really tell what their numbers were because they didn't use stock as the Baseline. They had already added a AEM cold air intake and a DC exhaust. So going from that setup to one which included the header only netted an additional 1 hp (from 88.6 to 89.6). However they did have this to say "Although horsepower and torque figures gained only slightly over stock previous dyno figures, midrange showed an increase in horsepower throughout the power band in hp and torque." vanhate 10-12-2004, 01:11 PM Do any of you know where you can buy the Megan headers? VanillaRice 10-12-2004, 01:50 PM Try this. Megan Racing stainless steel mandril bent headers on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7927676560&category=33631 squirrel 10-12-2004, 04:11 PM I have the DC Header. I don't know what the hp increase is because I didn't care. All I know is, my xB runs better at 80 mph and has better throttle response because of it. I've given rides to peeps on the freeway, and have had others follow me on the freeway, and they saw for themselves how the DC header helps the top end. Skaterjoes 10-12-2004, 04:28 PM Does the DC header Make a noticeble noise increase, when combined w/ the axle back exhaust? I know when I put the Borla header on my Suby That there was definitely mor noise in the cabin than w/ just the exhaust. 10-12-2004, 05:14 PM Does the DC header Make a noticeble noise increase, when combined w/ the axle back exhaust? In fact I am advising everyone who has a manual scion to purchase the auto axle back if they are going to get headers. Just make sure that the sound is still a perfect hum. :D squirrel 10-12-2004, 05:24 PM Does the DC header Make a noticeble noise increase, when combined w/ the axle back exhaust? I know when I put the Borla header on my Suby That there was definitely mor noise in the cabin than w/ just the exhaust. I have a Borla on my Matrix and its loud inside the passenger compartment. Borlas are just naturally louder and throatier I guess. Its almost bordering on being "ricey" to me. To me, after adding the header, the noise isn't that much more noticeable inside. I hear the short ram sucking air, more than I hear the exhaust. Maybe its because I'm running a Tanabe axleback that is known for being quieter. PM Evildave and ask him. He rode in my xB on the freeway and can atest to the throttle response and sound levels. I think he was running a 5zigen can for a while. 10-12-2004, 08:16 PM dc header and 5zigen exhaust combo..good 1? Ranier, PM bBted. I think he was running a 5zigen can for a while. bBted had a 5zigen muffler from a civic and I made it fit his xB. But he sold the muffler that I made fit and now he has the DC sports muffler with his header. So I am not sure who has the 5zigen made for the xB with the DC header. 8) TOYDUBS 10-12-2004, 08:53 PM thanks guys =) 10-13-2004, 05:06 AM thanks guys =) No problem, your welcome. :D squirrel 10-13-2004, 03:39 PM thanks guys =) Ranier, You're welcome.
