Default Wheel size and TRD drop

Guys, I ran a search and did not find what I was talking about so if this is double, I apologize.

I dont know crap about cars but since getting my xB, I am really wanting to get into it.
Here are my questions. Would 17 or 18 inch wheels be ok on the xB? Would they affect the ride at all?
What if I did the TRD springs with the drop, would 17 or 18 inch wheels still be ok, how would the ride feel, etc.
Thanks guys.

Either 17" or 18" would be fine. They will effect the ride some because the sidewalls will be smaller making the ride stiffer. It's really not that bad. With that the handling gets better too.

I don't know about the TRD springs. That depends on the spring rate. I expect it is a stiffer rate which will make the ride stiffer.

Lardo you may have seen my other post that I just did on pretty much this exact setup. I've got 18" wheels and the TRD springs. To tell the truth I can't tell a bit of difference from the stock ride quality. But the car looks a whole heck of a lot better.

very cool pufbox, thanks for the info.
I was really worried about when turning if there would be rubbing and such. Time to start saving cause I have my stuff picked out.

Pufbox, I'm gonna be getting 18"s and the TRD springs as well. Putting your ride next to your wife's stock ride made it easy to see the huge aesthetic difference.

What kind of auto shop can I take my ride to to have the TRD springs installed since I can't do it myself?

I've heard of 19s and TRD springs without a problem as well.
