Default Convince me to get them....TYC Tailights

I've been wanting to do something to my back end of my tC so I may change my tail lights to TYC. I've been looking around the site and only see darker color tC's with the TYC tail lights. Do they look good on the silver tC? Convince me to get them,,,,Pictures would be greatly appreciated especially on silver tC's!

Thanks!

I don't think I'd put them on my silver tC... but I'm picky.

If you want something to do with the rear, get a full third brake light. Fully lit hotness via Oznium:

And it's even red to match the tails.

Put a ever so slightly smoked red overlay on them... they actually look decent after that, surprisingly enough.

I've seen em on white TCs and they looked great. I'm sure they would look good on silver too. Like paul34 said, you could tint them. Hit up Bat for ideas. I plan on buyin at set for my SW and gonna tint them darker.

I don't have them. However, I do think that they look good with black overlay.

hmm i might need to re-consider. does anyone atleast have a pic to show the TYC tail lights on a silver tC to prove to me that they are ugly? i might consider the Oznium but i'm not too good with wiring and don't know what to do when it comes to install it.

if someone thinks something looks good. I guarantee you that somebody else will think that same thing is going to look ugly as all hell. So if YOU like them, get them!

You just unscrew some screws, pop out the panels, unplug the third brake light, unscrew some more stuff, pull the third brake light off, clean up the sticky stuff of your car, stick the new third brake light in, then screws go back in, plug everything together, test out the brake light, pop the panels back in, screw in the two screws that hold the panel, and you're pretty much done.

I think the TYC tails look better on lighter cars; for darker cars, they need overlays.

NO! Test it FIRST before you put it in place or stick it or screw it. I made that stupid mistake. I uncovered the adhesive, stuck it, screwed it into place, then connected it and tested it. I guess I always have the worst luck, because it didn't work and now I have to wait two weeks for a new one.

Still, you have to agree that it looks awesome.

Dont do it, smoke your stocks or something else, I had TYC's on my SSM, didnt like them at all. Even tried to tint them to make them look better. Nothing looks better than stock IMO.

Oh yes, good point, thanks for the correction. Don't want to have one that's not working stuck on.

See I think that it looks good. But then again matter of opinion. One thing you could do is just smoke the stocks and see if you like it. Save alot of money that route. If not try the TYC option. Just dont buy those Fugly ebay ones whatever you do.

^^it doesn't look bad, but I think stock tails look 1000% better than TYC's or any other aftermarket tail. Lightly smoking the stocks is the furthest I would go.

I'd save your money. TYC's came on my car, and I don't really dig them. I'm actually tinting them like the picture above to see if that helps. I think I will like them better then.
