Someone stole my prototype kit, put it on his xB for a couple minutes, and decided to crush it so no one else could have it... J/K

This is the prototype TRF kit that was pulled out from the mold last week and fitted on the well known XBBOY's car

There are some minor fitting issues for the parts and I will be solving those problems in the next few days. I just want to let you guys know what the kit actually looks like. So if you are planing to buy any kit soon, here is something for you @ reasonable price.

IMO the kit looks great on the car, stylish and not too overly agressive. A very nice design by Tim and Nish, there a few minor fitment probs , but nothing major that will not be corrected before the final product is introduced to the public. :wink:

Wow!!! I must have one of those kits in Hawaii!! So do i got first dibs in Hawaii!!. Hey Nilo I got that same grill. but I modified the grill so now it has hand made billet insterts in it. Making the billet insterts was a b???tch. Ill post pics when I get it painted with the eyelids I got from Nish.

zThanks for the input everyone, the kit is made of poly/plastic I believe, Pics of the rear portion of the kit will be out soon, there was a fitment problem with the fitment of the rear skirt die to the thickness of the material on the kit, the car is now at the shop to adjust any fitment probs and will be corrected for the final mold.

...and Brad, just found out that xB's are not made for DRIFTING!!! aarrgghh!! :evil: :oops: :D

Big ups to Tim and Gary really nice kit, both kits time has designed have been top quality I must pick that kit up. I specially the fact that its not fiberglass and made with a poly/plastic mix. Pretty durable on most peoples cars well except for Nilo the speed racing cone magnet lol. Can't wait till the next kit is put on Nilo's box, you know third time is a charm

Finally, an aftermarket US made spoiler.

Bumper kits are nice and I've seen alot of great looking ones here in SoCal, but the only draw back that I see on them is the amount of work and money ivolved in making them look great. Just from oserving Gary Nish installing those kits with the sanding and bondo work to get rid of the waves on the large pieces as well as the moding just to make it fit, it's just not worth it for me..but I do agree tht they look awesome when done right.

I took Nilo's car to the factory today and spend few hours to see what we can do to make this kit fits like the way it suppose to
We have to adjust the mold a little bit but to meet my standard I might have to redo one mold... anyways. The second fixed prototype will be finished next Monday.

I am positive that it will look lot nicer and better.
I will than try it out on Nilo's car again and take the clear pictures

The back is very similar to the Red Genie I designed just to give you an idea how it look. I will take pictures for the whole kit once it is ready next week.

the kit will not be made of CF at this time, it is made of durable polyplastic in the front and fiberglass for the skirt and the rear.

Cf may come later.

Hey Nilo I have a Design for a Grill for that kit. Like I told you I have the same grill and modified it and put billet inserts in it. But today I was fitting the grill on my car with the eyelids that I got from Nish and I came up with a idea and I might do it to mines. Make the grill and the eyelids one peice with the grill. Im sure Gary could do the mod to it. Well I still debating if I should hack up Garys Awsome eyelids and attactch it to the grill. Well Im kind of pressed for time and i dont know if i can finish it before the Island cruise next weekend.

Nilo get gary on that project. I know that he was making a Eyelid that went accross the grill. But I think that gril we have with the eyelids part of it would be nuts! I was going ot do it but I think if gary did it it would come out better. Fiberglass isnt my trade and would take me months to get it right.

OK Nish's new revamped eyelids are painted and the custom grill is done. I got layzy and didnt mold the grill and eyelids togther. Im high of the paint! This was the first time in about 8 years I picked up my paint gun and sanding blocks. Boy that smell of fresh paint smells so good! Oh the bondo dust is even better stuff! Oh no whats next?let bring out the mig welders and shave the door handles french in the side markers and shave the rear light and put some caddy lights in now.

The mold is fixed and I still have Nilo's car
Because of the crazy rain in LA this week, it will take a little longer for fiberglass to cure. I am expecting second part pulled out from the mold this Wed.

I will then again test fitting the kit on the car and see how it goes
I am sure this time will be lot better and should be ready for sale since I have Nilo's car to work on for couple days

I will post nicer pictures again for you guys to see

the kit sits alil lower than stock..but alot higher in the front than my 2nd kit. I still have the other one , but will be running this one form now on.. :wink:

Thats an older grille.. Im not 100% certain if it is still available. That was the 1st gen trf grille.

Yes, I have a TRF grille. Its one of the first ones produced. it will not be included in the new body kit. I'm not sure of the status of the grille, but many have asked about it. Your best bet would be to PM Tim, the originator of this thread, and ask him directly.

yup it is the same car, the kit on the SS poster was a 1 OFF red genie redesigned by Nish..the new TRF kit emplemented some of the ideas we put into the first kit.

Things have been picking up, and everything is getting better here

I have some trouble with the manufacture, but after long meeting with them I think it's time for me to start producing the kits

I will try to put at least 5 kits in stock, but if the kit is sold out, lead time will be anywhere from 3 days to a week depend on the work load from the factory

You might think it is a little high for a lip kit but because of the expensive material (made in USA) I use, this will be the MSRP
