yea, lets see it on a tC first and hopefully tctunerz.com can give us a weight comparison. I've seen some CF hoods weight almost a much as stock(why I'm not quite sure, anyone got an answer?), so the only reason to get it would be for the looks. The tC is porky, so if I'm gonna do something that cost as much as a CF hood, I wanna know I can eke every ounce I can outta it.

It does look decent by itself though.

I think that hood looks way too aggressive for the tC. The tC has soft lines, and if someone is going to design a vented hood, the lines of the vents should follow.

Agree, something simple with a functioning hoodscoop and I'd be happy.

i would love to see that in NON Carbon Fiber. I think CF hoods look stupid.

I voted no because of a few reasons. I don't like the design, the hood is actually pretty dang light compared to some, and I don't like it being different color then the car.

With all do respect to those that are going the route of making the TC faster. The car isn't fast. Drive a MR2T, or a Super Charged Mustang Cobra if you want fast.

I am personally going the lux/sport coupe route. The car is quiet, well mannered, sleek looking and quick but not fast. So, it just seems natural for me to keep it that way. But maybe I would be different if I didn't also already own a sports car. *shrug*

Well you can always paint it to match the car. If I went the route of a different hood, I'd probably get CF for the weight redux then paint it. Unless a fiberglass verison was a lot cheaper.

I've seen some CF hoods weight almost a much as stock(why I'm not quite sure, anyone got an answer?
If I had to venture a guess it would be some of the cheaper CF companies still use steel frames in their hoods. It's just the top layer that's CF just to look cool.

Edit: I forgot to voice my opinion! Opps

As far as the hood goes ... I like it. But I don't think it fits the lines on the tC very well, like mikochu said. I think it would look a lot better if the vents on the sides didn't curve out, and the vent in the middle wasn't there. There's just too much going on for the tC's sleek body ... it's almost chaotic

I agree. I like just the little inlet in the front, but not all the vents. It doesn't flow.

I think the CF hoods would match better because it looks more like the black all glass roof!

In my opinion, that hood is bad ___...Only 1 problem...that middle nose scoop needs to go...

I really dont see any point to having a scoop, and heat vents?? The air going in the scoop would shoot strait out of the vents, and all that would do is barely cool the engine down, but create more drag on the hood than anything else...

Lose the front scoop, and that hood is mine!! (but, it's going to be painted, I dislike a blue car with a black hood)
