Default Any online install guides for an aftermarket HID kit for XB?

Hey guys I'm new here. I don't own an XB (I have a 2000 celica gts 6spd), but one of my friends just purchased a 2008 XB. Right away he asked me to order an aftermarket HID kit for him, so I did. (8000k H11 kit) Installing these kits is pretty much plug and play, but I have no experience with the XB's and I don't want to mess anything up on his brand new car. Are there any guides on this website or somewhere else online that shows someone installing an HID kit on a 2008 XB?

Thanks in advance guys!

Don't want to be a jerk, but why is he having you do it if you are clueless? It is a very easy process that really doesn't need anymore clarification than I needed...which is search the forum and give your company a quick call/email if something comes up.

Connect the power, mount the ballasts, plug in... The hardest part was choosing where to wire for me after laying it all out how it was supposed to be. At least that is what I am going to claim... Not a word Cliff

Thanks timmer. I'm not clueless; I can install many things on cars (HID's, exhaust, intake, springs, headers, brakes, etc.), but I have never worked on a 2008 XB and my friend loves his car so much so I wouldn't want to mess anything up. I installed HID's on my car in less than 10 minutes, so I am far from clueless, but I just wanted to see if there was anything on the XB that I should be careful with, etc.

Thanks for the links.

installing HIDs is pretty much the same in any car, the only difference is where to lay the wire like timmer said.
Check this video out, if this doesnt help then i guess i can take pics of where i laid it, but it shouldnt be neccessary:

Couldn't you sense some of the sarcasm in my message? I know it really is an easy process with little concerns about obstacles, problem areas, etc. I sent Cliff no fewer than 5 emails while doing it so I was obviously messing with you as much as I was being serious.

Good luck, sounds like you have far more experience than I had and it was straight forward for me.

Alright I got these installed for him tonight, but it has those "ufo" lights right above the cutoff line (I'm sure this is common). I know on the celicas we cover up some holes in the headlamp with some electrical tape to get rid of these, so is it the same way for the XB? Are there 2 little holes in each headlamp hiding somewhere that I can cover up with tape? I didn't feel like dealing with it tonight, so I thought I would ask ahead of time so I know exactly where to look for these holes so I can cover them up.

Thanks.

You know the dim circle lights you get right above the cut off line (so they light up road signs, etc.)?

Yes, I think Whispaz and I discussed these on another thread. There is definitely not a super defined cutoff line. I kind of like it though, lights up signs down the road.
