Default Licence plate rattle?

I was wondering if anybody has any cheap cures for this? If I hit bumps in the road the back plate makes obnoxious rattling noises. I was thinking about finding an adhesive "felt" thing to adhere to the bottom of the plate to stop it for rattling, and absorb through the felt.

The plate is only secured by screws on the top, not bottom (causing the plate to bounce around).

Ideas?

I put double sided tape behind the plate frame at the bottom because mine did the same thing. I got it in black and put it on where just enough would touch the frame without showing too much.

Worked like a charm.

Hmmm, yeah I couldn't figure out what was making all the noise.. The frame rattling on the plate, or the plate rattling on the car, or a mixture of both! haha

Ill keep that in mind for sure, thanks alot!

I used black foam tape between the license plate frame and the plate, and also between the plate and the hatch. Worked perfectly, no more rattle.

I used basically the same thing. I was in a boating store, picked up some "hatch" foam... basically a strip of foam with glue on one side

make sure it is not your hood.
Seems a couple of us had a hood that was not properly adjusted. I have a thread here somewhere but to lazy to look for it right now, tired. Sorry.

Definitely is the rear plate...

I took some padded adhesive (like insulating door liner) and stuck it on the plate, between itself and the plate mount. We shall see how that goes, if not, I may try double sided tape to stick the plate and mount together. If that doesn't work, try removing the plate mount... Ill have to just play around with it, lol.
