Any news or rumors on the special release ???

My goal was to buy my wife a new Sienna and then myself a new XB2. Last weekend I accomplished the first goal so now its time to focus on the second goal.

I am so close to buying the Teal but I really want to see what the first SR will look like and what special features it will include.

Any good rumors out there on the first SR for XB2 ?


By the way, buying a Toyota is so different from buying a Scion. For Toyota you have to find the right dealer to get the right price and then find one that was not overloaded with junk from the distributers. (gulf port for us) We got lucky and found exactly what we wanted and from a class location 60 miles away.


On a sad note, my brother sold his SR1 XB1 (Hot Lava Orange). He is going through a rough time with this girl and this is one of the crazy things he has done lately since he met her.

I think the rumor total is about zero. If anything expect to start seeing info creep up around the end of the year with a possible release some time in the first quarter next year. Maybe.

Beginning of 2008 will be the RS. There is talk (not set in stone) that they will re introduce the Hot Lava.

As a UT graduate (Texas Longhorns - Burnt Orange), that would be awesome. Would make up for my brother's mistake of selling his hot lava XB1.

corrections, they are not special release, the are release series.

now then, it is a hard decision...since it is the second coming of the xb, should it be a repeat of the colors that the first rs xb's had, or new colors that they haven't done before...

or maybe similar yet different colors, like burnt orange instead of hot lava, bronze intead of burnt penny...

maybe something like a toxic purple? or turquiose metallic? candy apple red, pearlescent yellow-green?

The rumor I have heard from one of the regional Scion reps is that "the House ok Kolor Gold as seen on the 5-Axis xB would make a fantastic release series" Seemed like a strong hint to me especially now that the 5-Axis kit is avail. for retail sale.

Scion will only use Toyoa colors on the release serise vehicles from what I heard. Gold would be hot tho.

I was thinking to myself what would hot lava look like on the new xB i didn't think it would look very good but i wasn't sure so i photoshopped it. realize this is a VERY ruff photoshop i didnt want to spend a ton of time on it. but it gives you an idea.

All of the other RS colors were normal Toyota colors---they would really be stepping out of the box to pick something different.

I have noticed in several of the Import mags on the news stands that Scion is running
an add featuring a blue xB2 that is nearly "Blitz blue mica". Why advertise a color
you don't offer?

I've seen this too, but in red as well. With TRD wheels and a lip kit that looks suspiciously like a slightly modified 5 axis kit
