draxcaliber 08-30-2007, 05:36 PM holy smokes, that totally sucks, but if they have insurance and gap, they can start over again.
ack154 08-30-2007, 05:36 PM Ouch... drunk driver or something maybe if it was in the middle of the night...
Viace 08-30-2007, 05:41 PM I wanna take her head lights, just tell insurance she got jacked and crashed into.
equinox2355 08-30-2007, 05:45 PM  Holy ****
what is wrong with people? They cant take responsibility for what they've done!
People like that: :gun:
This is why GAP is good!
SeanstC 08-30-2007, 05:48 PM damn dude and they drove off?!

2X :flame: ........... :gun: ALL THESE IRRESPONSIBLE DRIVERS !!!!! I would be agitated even if I get insurance to cover everything. It's a brand new car. These people should really be investigated on and put in jail for good.
Would someone mind educating me on GAP?

draxcaliber 08-30-2007, 06:06 PM yeah, i NEVER park on the street, and am very picky where i leave my car.
actually, last week, behind my restaurant, we share a huge loading zone for my restaurant, the chinese restaurant next door, beer and wine store, shoppers food warehouse, and homegoods, and one of the 18wheelers that delivered to one of the stores nailed a full size suburban parked by the curb accross the street.
it pushed the suburban up on the curb, popping the tire off the wheel, and probably messing up the rear axel while really messing up the body on the rear driverside quarter panal.
ofcourse, when the owner asked us if we knew who had hit it, we had no clue, and i was like
"your car got hit when you parked it on the street right next to a giant loading zone where semi's with giant trailers back in and out of 24/7? really? you didn't see that coming?"
the truck had been there for like half a week, they kind a brought it on themselves.

That car is a total loss....at least she is gettin a new one instead of having it fixed.
iKONA 08-30-2007, 06:20 PM Well the car isnt a total loss. Production shops can repair the frame damage and replace the quarter pane, trunk, rear bumper, hatch, and rear wheel assembly. i once worked at a place where we spent 3 weeks replacing the entire floor board and rear quarter panels of an accord.
SWTCKID 08-30-2007, 06:25 PM OMG dude that car got hit pretty bad..did they leave there paint on here car becasue a t least then you know what color your looking for so when you see them you can pull them out the car and beat em
rvpps2rocks 08-30-2007, 06:28 PM dude she flippin got pwned.that totally sux. i know how hit and run feels but not that bad

With a tC the car is pretty much totaled with damage like this (to an insurance company) but you could probably buy it back and fix it, but doesn't make sense in most cases.
Hyghgynx 08-30-2007, 07:35 PM Is this the first 'o8 to bite the dust?
At least she wasn't in it. Now she can start over. Even though it's illegal, a lot of people in Cali still drive with no insurance. Suck$ big time!

I thought the car cant be registered if you dont have proof of insurance.
Geigle 08-30-2007, 07:55 PM If they left any paint the police should be able to track down the make of the car. Any big stores or trafic cams in the area?
tChui 08-30-2007, 08:01 PM damn that sux. pull the motor and part it to different companies looking to make some performance parts for the tc. its like donating her organs.
Viace 08-30-2007, 09:01 PM ya paint was left on the car, we just now have to find a crushed blue car.
Geigle 08-30-2007, 09:32 PM I thought that there was a way they could match paint when its a hit and run. Think I saw it on CSI lmao. At least down to the make and year of the car. then do a scan of the area for people who own that make that live in your area.

Well on CSI ya, but in most cases they wont bother doing it.
and that episode was called chaos theory  I know thats sad that I know that, but I saw it recently. (thats the one that they matched the paint)
andr3w 08-30-2007, 09:37 PM wow that sucks bad :(
xtigger 08-30-2007, 09:57 PM THIS CAR IS TOTALED!!! i would never accept fixing the car.
Shoob 08-30-2007, 10:10 PM 08 too. wow
Hyghgynx 08-30-2007, 10:14 PM I thought the car cant be registered if you dont have proof of insurance.
Who said anything about registering?
Dim wits just keep on driving, polluting our air (since they don't register the car, they don't have to smog it), you know the story. I know people who have had their tags stolen off their plates. Obviously someone is using the stolen tags on some sort of car to get around. :tap:

of course it can be fixed...most any car can be fixed....but in the eyes of the insurance company, the cost of fixing it will outweigh the cost of a new scion....
Viace 08-31-2007, 02:13 AM Ya she prol will just get another one, lets see how long it takes
waht the hell did htey hit that car with? a ____ing bulldozer?
Tc_Shocker 08-31-2007, 06:12 AM damn i thought i had it bad

I watch that show way to much.maybe she should hire a private dic....... to help her find out who did it  :silly:
BrownDogg 08-31-2007, 03:54 PM Something tells me its not a car that hit that tC...unless it was a HUGE car. Because any car that hit that wouldnt be able to drive away.

yeah... It's probably a cargo truck or a bus even.
