I read the whole thing, too and I thought it was well-written and informative. For those of us who don't have xBs, let alone haven't even driven one, the more info/feedback I can get, the better.

Great to hear you got your Xb!! I love mine.

Good to know there are more Xb's on the road in Chicago.

I personally am happy that I have the 5-Speed. I think it kind of makes the car. Makes it different than most models out there. Also I have always been a stick guy (More Fun). I also noticed peoples reaction. I hear, "Oww, stick". I don't think they would say, "Oww, automatic".

When you get a chance cruise the box on by.

Glad you finally got your car, and I'm happy you love it! I also traded in a VW Passat for the xB, and everyday I like my Scion more and more than the Volkswagon (maybe because my VeeWee broke down on a weekly basis).

I'm currently working with Van Phan to get a Silver xB 5 speed shipped to me in Detroit. It's nice to hear you had a good experience. I have had nothing but good service from Van myself. How long did the shipping take?
I've been thinking that since Scions won't be available in Detroit until June that I might try contacting toyota dealers and trying negotiate some upgrades such as new wheels for my xB. My idea is that the dealer will help accessorize my car and in return I will tell everyone in who asks me where I got my car that they should contact "dealer x" and get on the waiting list. I would thing that over 6 months the dealer would get more than enough referrals to justify the cost of new tires, etc.

Noiiice one! shipping was pretty quick for me. from pick up at the dealership to delivery to my house took a week. the driver dropped the car off at the shipping depot, then another driver took it directly to my home the next day.
The longest wait was for the car getting to the dealership. once it got there it took about 2 weeks of paperwork flying back and forth, then off for delivery.

There was however an unaccounted for 5 miles on the car between leaving the dealer and arriving at my house, but i did not pursue the issue.

PM me if you have any luck with the dealer idea.
