Hmm, I thought the 2nd Gen xB's were based off the t2B. I looked on Scion's website and it said the t2B was revealed at the 2005 New York Show.

Definately looks like the concept car that spawned the 2nd gen xB.

The bumper, the shape, etc are all more or less the same, they just used a more standard set of headlights and working doorhandles.

it only has one reverse light also... the other side you can really see in the pic is the exhaust coming out of the bumper oposite the reverse light

The xB is one of the scions thats on the 3-1 plan. they make 3 model years and take 1 year off, then a new generation is started. the xa is/was on this, except now its the xD. the tC was supposed to be on that cycle, but the overwhelming sucess (it has become the "me too!" car in place of the civic) made scion come out with the 2008 model year of which it was supposed to skip. 2nd generation for the tC in '09 (if they decide to skip a year, then it will be in '10).

aw, man, got me all excited this is SOOOOO 2005!

Now you've got my wondering what the xB3 will really look like. I'm interested if Scion/Toyota is going to increase their rapidly-developing tradition of making each subsequent model year bigger, or respond to the mouth-foaming loyalty toward the xB1.

I predict it'll be radically different. I mean, they have to find something we'll all object to...or else they're lose their status as the only car company on the planet where all the model owners hate one another.

lol nah you should see the VW community, where I spent the last 9 years. A lot of hate between different platform owners. That's why I'm not surprised by first gen xB owners hating on the new one....I'm used to that.

Two reverse lights, yes... but only 1 fog light.

By the way, I would love if our front looked like that, I would love those tail lights (no bumps), I would love if the bulge from the fenders continued along the bottom of the sides like that one. The only part of our car that looks better then the concept is the actual windshield. I don't like the wrap-around glass the concept has.

there is only one reverse light on the t2B. the one on the passenger side is actually the tailpipe coming through the bumper.

And we think the 08 has a big blind spot!!! Imagine dealing with it on the t2b! IMO, it would be worth it though.
