I decided to give the Progress 22mm rear sway bar a go. I had the Hotchkis front and rear kit for a while, but felt that I had too much understeer with that setup. Anyways, after talking to a tech over at Progress I ordered the beefier rear sway and am running it in conjunction to the Hotchkis front sway bar. It makes a huge difference! I definitely feel much less understeer and the car is more responsive to the steering wheel. For those looking to reduce body roll in both the front and rear without increasing understeer, I recommend this setup. I'm also running the JIC type II front under-frame brace and the Circuit Sports rear lower sub-frame brace to stiffen things up. Definitely digging this suspension setup. Below is a picture of both rear sway bars. The Progress bar is the grey one and the Hotchkis is the red one.

Wow!! That's a hell of a difference between the Hotchkis and the Progress bars.

I thought Hotchkis was the premier Toyota suspension people?
(I'm new with TRD family  )

Doesn't always mean it's the best.
I'm on the verge of ordering the Progress rear bar without any change to the front. I presume this will do a lot to eliminate the understeer?
Simple install? Does it replace the original or is it an add-on?
Thanks.

Running the Progress in the back w/ the stock sway in the front would work great (that is how Progress designed it to work). You would probably have even less understeer then I have with the Hotchkis in the front, but a bit more roll.
Installation is very easy. Just jack up the back of the car, take off the rear wheels and it bolts right onto the rear axle beam. It takes about 20 minutes total. One funky part of it though are these things called "flag nuts". Basically what these are are nuts with a handle welded to them so that you can easily line it up with the hole inside the axle beam. This allows the Progress bar to have the bolt stem go inside the beam. The look is a bit cleaner then the Hotchkis bar which has the nut screw onto the bolt on the outside of the axle bar. It is also easier to install. Not really a big deal, but a nice touch.
Thanks, Minsk!
I ordered mine first thing this morning and really appreciate your directions for install. Hope to be trying the bar out by this weekend.
