Default Does the 1NZ have a rev-limiter?

Curious today because as I was accelerating I didn't notice I was around 5000 rpm. Don't think I hit redline but, just wanna make sure.

Rev limiter? Yes. Dangerous? not hardly. I frequently see rpms just short of the rev limiter. the Rev limiter on out motor is set pretty low. you won't hurt your motor visiting the rev limiter for a breif moment, just don't stay there long, and don't do it when your eingine is cold, or your oil pressure is low.

hitting rev limiter is ok. if you want to see wat your car can do, then just push it to the max rpm before it bounces. the limiter is there so that your motor will not be harmed, therefore there is no harm in hittin hit. i hit rev limiter first time i test drove the car cuz the gears are so short
