MiniGuy 09-11-2007, 02:48 AM Sparks is the real deal.... They have been around for a LONG time and what you see is what you get... They just take a whole lot less profit than the local dealers do, and sell a TON online...
You're good to go. Some stuff gets on backorder, so they'll usually let you know, if they don't, just give them a call and they'll be right there!
draxcaliber 09-11-2007, 02:53 AM yeah, i've gotten thousands of dollars in parts for my tc and my gf's xa with absolutely zero problems.
i've gotten trd suspension, springs, shocks, sways, shift knobs, limited slip differential, and all the applique parts for my gf's xa. you should have no problem with them.
draxcaliber 09-11-2007, 02:57 AM oh, and for great HID kits, hit up www.3bspec.com.
they also have a sponsored sale going on here on scionlife. check the classified sponsored sales section.
look for user name "operatic"
DJ_FroZone 09-11-2007, 03:29 AM what about installation
rdfxb 09-11-2007, 03:43 AM Installation a lot of stuff you can do yourself. They give you complete instructions on all products they sale you. Or you can take it to a local shop and have them install it for you.
tkanaz 09-11-2007, 04:11 AM TRD Sparks is the real deal. I buy all my XB stuff from them. For HID's check this guy out. Great customer service and fast. He'll treat you right and get you pointed in the right direction!
http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=152060
www.mobilehid.com His kit's are $170 shipped and they come with the relay and fuse.
lvbitwiz 09-11-2007, 04:24 AM trdsparks just rocks. Oh yeah, if you're getting your spoiler from them, you'd better get the install kit too, unless you know someone with templates
MiniGuy 09-11-2007, 05:11 AM Oh, and my uncles third cousin' sells HIDs too out of his trailer!
:( (Golly, no thread is off limits to promotion..... ) :(
Check them out http://www.mytrailerpark.com !
Kidding... but, come on... let's keep it about TRDsparks and keep other vendors out of the thread...
JasonReynoldsXXX 09-11-2007, 07:39 AM i had no clue about this web site now that i doo gunna be boke again hahah but i love my box
tkanaz 09-11-2007, 11:43 AM btw im also looking for blue HID 10000K's any good sites. i love blue lights!
Miniguy.... did you happen to read where he was also looking for HID's? I am just trying to help him find what he needs. Maybe you should ask him to start another thread about HID's if you want to police threads and keep it only one vendor! This site is to inform people when they ask.
DJ_FroZone 09-11-2007, 11:56 AM HeY thanks for the responses everbody!! ^^I'll see if i can find that other thread on HIDs
MiniGuy 09-11-2007, 12:03 PM If it wasn't a trend, I wouldn't have noticed... Just gets old around SL...
I'd just say check the sponsored Sales... Seems like everyone has the "Best" HID setup to promote with fans to boot. Relays/Lower Prices/Blah...
it's like the ol' ZPI/Dezod/Etc. threads... everyone pumping up some manufacturer/some shop...
Don't mind me... I've just been around too long. Still one of the Top 20 posters here on SL, and I hardly post anymore... :P
ScionicXTC 09-11-2007, 03:17 PM Sparks is great! Ken is awesome to work with...
As for installation, if you don't want to do it yourself, call around for prices. It will vary greatly depending on the shop. The dealer will almost always charge more.
TuningIsLife 09-11-2007, 05:10 PM Sparks is good, so is Carson, and McGeorge. Is it just me, or are parts for the new xB a ton more expensive then gen1?
DJ_FroZone 09-11-2007, 07:10 PM Sparks is great! Ken is awesome to work with...

RockBlocker 09-11-2007, 10:16 PM Sparks is the real deal
tkanaz 09-11-2007, 10:18 PM Miniguy. I don't care how much you post. Or what you feel is a trend. He asked a question and I responded in the best way I could help. It's easy to be a top 20 poster with random BS posts. I suggested mobilehid.com because he is locally involved here with our car shows and is a scionlife sponsor. You try to help the people that help you. And If you can help him with 1 more customer. That's what matters. Just trying to help someone that supports the community.
draxcaliber 09-11-2007, 10:22 PM yeah, the original postor asked about where he could get some good HID's for his ride didn't he?
i posted my dealer whom i had a good experience with. called the number on their website, talked to mike and han, and they ship all their products overnight. they were great.
scionicboom 09-11-2007, 10:38 PM Sparks is the best. They have been around and are very trustworthy. Ken and Jamie have been great. All their products are priced great and come with instructions.
Ken has always given me advice online, even if I'm not planning on buying from them. When I made an order it was quick and easy. After the sale they did continued to help me out with the install and questions. Call Jamie up and make an order today, you won't regret it! Tell him scionicboom sent you!

MiniGuy 09-13-2007, 01:42 AM BTW- Just ordered rear bumper protector, rear deflector/fit kit from sparks for the Box and it shipped QUICK....
GREAT service, and my local dealer wouldn't flex at all with the prices, even with showing them sparks great prices... profit hungry monsters I tell ya.

I thought the rear bumper protector was being re-done due to issues and they were backordered, no?
Don't "tell" on Sparks! Hopefully there is no MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreement they're violating, they might get told to take it down or Toyo can simply stop selling to them, bad for us!
Whispaz 09-13-2007, 03:43 AM mobilehid.com/scionlife for HIDS
highly recommended

It looks like my order is coming on the 19th, (ground from S. Carolina), so I'll let you know if the protector isn't there, but I believe it is...
I'm sure they aren't violating anything, as I've had dealers offer lower prices elsewhere, and Sparks has been outselling everyone else by offering their great prices since the start of Scion! Can't beet them, at least usually.

Bench2 09-13-2007, 06:26 PM Like amazingly low. anybody know of their relability or if they are a real deal?
No worries, DJ. TRD Sparks is for real.
I ordered a TRD CAI in the evening of Sept. 7th (Friday). Ken emailed me on the 8th (Saturday!) to tell me that the CAI's were out of stock and due to arrive back in stock in about a week. Let me tell you that I've had experiences with some internet dealers that will jerk you around for weeks telling you that your backordered parts will be in on so and so, and they of course arrive late/very late. I have to admint that I was a little suspicous, but Sparks has a great reputation on the forums, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt.
Long story short, Ken arranged to have a CAI drop shipped directly to my house. It just arrived (Sept 13th, Thursday). So it took six days total (over a weekend, and with ground shipping no less).
The bottom line is Sparks has great prices and OUTSTANDING customer service.
