Default Selling my 3.0, what price to ask?

I am going to sell my xA RS 3.0 which is stock with <6000 miles and I wonder if anybody has any idea about what price to ask. I've checked Kelley's and cannot even find an option for a 3.0. Other sites I've checked to see what a 3.0 might go for have none, not even with a nationwide search. I've seen a number of regular xAs going for $14-16,000, but not a 3.0. I am getting mine detailed on Monday.

TIA

I'd say $1K less then what you paid after tax. Be willing to go a bit lower then that- maybe $1500-2K under what you paid. Be firm tho... unless of course your really needing to sell quick, then thats another story. The next owner will at least have 30K still on warrenty- which is a selling point! Is it a manual or auto ?

I thought that all 3.0 were the same, being automatics. I bought the car in the middle of December and so there should be another 2 years left on the warranty. Also, I have not yet used the 3 free oil changes (I had a free one from the dealer that I used at 3k). Plus, I don't need to sell it quick.

Gotcha!

Yeah, I'm guessing you paid $16- 16.5K for your rig new ?? Am I close ??
If so, I'd start out the selling price at .. say $15.3 .. and see what happens

I just checked my sticker and it was $16,000 even. $1840 of that was for the RS 3.0 package. I suppose that $15.3 is a good starting point. I'd hate to go too low since I see so many regular Scions going for $14-15,000. Evidently the 3.0 is damn rare and there are precious few for sale.

True,
But ultimately- you have to find a buyer 1. willing to pay your asking price = and thats mainly determined by A. they are fine/cool with that color(blue/grey metalic) , B. they are wanting a automatic. Those are the two biggest determinants that will effect the price, price asked, price recieved, etc.

Default Based on that...

what is my little Phantom Grey basic xA worth?

It's got 100,000 on it, but it's in great shape.

Automatic, 2004, basic stereo with CD, tinted (aftermarket), 17-inch rims.

Should I just be happy to get $10k for it?

It's paid off, so all that money would do is help me buy an xD.

Let me know.

Its only worth, what someone else is willing to pay for it- at the TIME

Thats some major words of wisdom. Also, if your gonna sell- considering its a good/great MPG car to have- a perfect time would be April-through summer months.. as thats when gas tends to be the most $ then.

As long as you have ALL of your maintainence receipts saved/accumulated = I'd say $9K ish, is probably about right. HOwever, locally somone has a nice blue 2004 - auto, but it has 65K miles, and they are asking $9500

They don't say if it is a 3.0, but it sure looks like it. Very many of the other 2006 Scion xAs are listed at Autotrader.com in the $16,999 area. Granted, they won't sell for that, but that is nearly $1000 more than I paid for mine new.
