you might lose out some cash. i work for ups and we deal with some post office stuff and they never seem to care because the way they feel is that once it touches your property its out of their hands. with ups its insured so they might give money back. with the usps if you get anything you'll be lucky. i had $600 worth of school books for the semester, the mail guy threw it in the middle of my driveway and it was pouring rain when i got home. the box even said amazon.com and had a book sticker thing on it. they did absolutely nothing about it

yea, i figured i'm gonna lose about $200 in this case. as of right now, there is nothing i can do really. i called the post office and they are working on my case right now but if it turns out that they don't know where it is or the fact that it got stolen, then i'm out of luck. *sigh* great...

next time, i'm shipping it to my work place or somewhere else.

sorry for your lose. but if it makes you feel any better, you should try making a replicated shipped mail package and leave it outside to see who touches it. probably the same thief. beat that b**** down.

i know this doesn't help much to your current problem, but i was wondering if you trust ebay hid kits? i and a friend bought ours for under $100. had them for over 6 months and no problems so far. looks for sellers with high, good feedbacks and hosts wholesale auctions for hids.

unfortunately, i did not insure it.

and i don't do too well with hid kits off of ebay. most likely, i'll just fork over $200 and buy another set if USPS doesn't do anything about it and/or the shipper can't do anything about it.

Actually, and I've been itching to start a topic about this, but eBay HID kits are now like $70 Shipped.

And yeah, always insure, hopefully this works out, but if it doesn't, it just makes that 2 dollars to insure so valuable.

Yeah, try it. Works for stuff you didn't receive AND stuff you did receive.

so it turns out that i cannot go to my bank, because they money that i spent on the item came out of my paypal account, so the bank has no information about it. and i can't file a dispute against the seller to paypal, because he did send me the item. there was a confirmation/tracking number, it's just that someone decides to steal it.
