fujita is good. i would definitely recommend the short ram intake for fujita. I have the cold air intake, i want to sell it, it's a pain to install, but it works good. It has a nice sound to it. I still have the fujita btw if you want to buy it.....

the nice thing is, you can't go wrong with either injen or fujita. the latter was started by someone who left injen to make his own company of intakes, so their R&D are very much alike. i believe either of the two, you can buy the cold air intake and unclamp the later portion of the pipe if you wanna switch back to short ram (or was it just injen?_). the one advantage i can only see fujita has over injen is they're usual lower price. however, they are rarely CARB legal.

I have the fujita and I love it. It has that great sri hiss right when you start it up and when you punch it. And as previously stated the bag is nice too. : )

i have the injen SRI, i love everything about it. it has the inline oil filter for the valve breather. it was super easy to install.

i don't know anything about the SRI from fujita, i have seen a # of people having some problems with the CAI from jujita, as in broken welds and needing ajustment to fit under some tower braces.

the SRI would avoid those problems.

If you own a 2006 xB none of the intakes will pass emissions. The reason is because Scion changed the intake design on that particular year. There's a carbon filter in the stock intake. None of the aftermarket intakes have this feature and that's why a 2006 xB with an aftermarket intake will not pass emissions.

He's in California and I can bet by any stretch of the imagination that Missouri's emissions testing is not as extensive, nor as strict.

you are rightabout CA being harder then MO. but the lack of a carbon filter on the intake will not fail a emissions test, unless they specify that you are not alowed to mod the intake.

what do they do in CA during an emissions test?
do they stick a probe in the tail pipe, the gas cap tester, open the hood?

the lack of a carbon filter will not make you car produce more polution and fail the test in that manner. the only way this type of mod would fail you is if they have a spcific rule that you can not mod the intake and they open the hood to check.

by the way i took a closer look at my old stock intake and it did have a carbon filter hidden in the top part.

im not tring to be a jurk..... i just don't know any thing about CA emission tests. inform me.

I contacted Fujita personally through e-mail and they told me, "The 06-up xB will not be ARB legal from any intake manufacturer, unless it retains the factory carbon filter. Almost all Toyotas now come with a carbon filter that is built into the factory air box." That's straight from the horse's mouth. I am just trying to give straight, honest answers.
