I removed my rear TRD sway bar yesterday and noticed the paint is chipping in spots, and while I was cleaning it, more paint would chip off. So I wanted to repaint it. Is there a paint that would be best to use for this? I was considering just repainting it red again but not sure if it's better to paint over it or strip the paint and do it from scratch. Or just leave it alone since it's under the car. Any suggestions? Thanks.

 

should strip the paint and use caliper paint or even rim paint. it'll hold up nicely.

i agree with milano. rim paint is designed to hold up to brake dust which is SUPER ABRASIVE. now you just have to decide on a color...pick a cool and unique one.
